Cheltenham offers

  • 3 weeks today until Cheltenham!! Has anyone heard of any offers that will be on? Hopefully skybet will have the money back on all losers on the first race every day like they have done for the last 3 years

  • New to matched betting?

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

Most bookies running NRNB on all races which I think is excellent if you’re willing to tie up a few quid for a weeks. Especially horses entered in a couple of races, if you bet on both then you get your money back + lower odds near the off

    Not the nrnb theories again!

Any bookie offering this won’t be offering true ante post odds, the odds won’t shorten on the horse being declared for a race.

If you get a close match on the exchange then you get the chance of a refund if the horse doesn’t run, but you may also remove the chance of using other offers having already bet on a race (depending on t&c)

Did a quick calc of the RSA chase (typical multi entry race) and the Overround on sky is 295% at today’s prices!

Or in lay man’s terms proof they’ve already priced in the fact that a number of horses won’t run, and whilst prices will change they are as likely to drift as shorten for a random horse.

I wouldnt expect anything exciting to be honest.

Gone are the days of 2016 when every bookie was offering £25 money back second on at least three races or a £50 free bet for placing 3 £50 bets. Money back if you lose, gone. The best you can hope for are:

Some unfancied horses boosted at Freds/Tote
Money back second to SP favourite, £10 max – unlikely to come in much
High 5 – probably wont be hit much
1/4 odds on first three places in selected races – probably the best way to make money

Dont mean to sound cynical but after making almost 2k in four days from the 2016 festival, I and everyone else here was super excited but then 2017, combined with some crazy results was a big let down because of the lack of offers.

I’m with Chris on this. I’m going to go into the festival with low ambitions and hopefully be pleasantly surprised and not really disappointed when nothing gets given

High5 at Cheltenham is a waste of time as well…. the weight of money means markets move a lot more slowly. You are very unlikely to get on anything for a zero QL unless you are willing to gamble.

Probably not much to be made EW arbing either.

Unless you had a clean ID to start using on new account offers there won’t be much at all.

Ew arbing was actually the mainstay last year mostly helped by a number of bookies offering 1/4 odds on three places. The big handicaps at the end of each day were also great but like a minefield.

Where possible, I recommend people have new accounts with the following bookies going in to the festival, these are ones that realistically I know most can open rather than the likes of Bet365 etc which we’ve probably exhausted by now:

    188
    Blacktype
    Betbright
Stan James (if they are still operating)

2015 and 2016 were both really good but last year wasn’t too bad either. Skybet had money back on losers first race, grovoner had double odds paid in cash on first race, sunbets had free bets on first race and paddy power had money back for 2nd was in shops as well, Ladbrooks also had an offer on but I can’t remember what it was. Have faith lads I think there will still be some good offers on

All of those offers have been reduced though. Skybet down to £20, Ladbrokes were money back second on all races in 2016 and came up with something crap last year, the fact we cant remember says it all.

Apart from ew arbing it will be scraps, you only need to look at the offers Matt is blogging to see the state of play.

There will be some, although for a lot of us offers we can’t get anyway.
I’d expect sky and paddy to be ok for those who can use them. A few other random people will put offers out too like double odds or bogof. Bound to he a nice surprise from someone too, wouldn’t surprise me if sportnation put something out there that consumes a lot of capital but pays well

I’m with Chris though that each way betting will be where most of the returns can be found. Usually a few odds on favourites, and usually a few that get beat… plus the bigger field/extra place stuff

I keep on getting emails from Sportnation with great offers but always miss them as they go to an account I dont chack.

Last week was 50% back on Champions League losing bets up to £200 bonus.

Pretty much banned from everywhere so not too excited either really.

Agree with Chris though i miss 2015 when everyone did MB 2nd and so many other offers, clearing 2k+ was so easy back then over those 4 days.

I’m pretty sure last year betbright did quite a good £100 refund offer, so you migbt get the odd decent offer cropping up.

Thought they would. Can’t wait to see what other offers come out over the next couple of weeks

Betbright will definitely come up with something decent hence why I recommend a clean account there.
