My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

Hi biscuit, just so I get this right. Do you lay for so that if the bet doesn’t come in you win more and if it does (which iv never seen!) you would break even or just a small win say 50p??

Also Tony mentions laying Arsenal 1st, then doing the Manchester teams as a double. How does that work, as I can see the Skybet ACCA today isn’t on Betfair. Is there a way to still extract something?

No idea what is/was available today, but yesterday Betfair had a 12:30 Acca (basically combos that included the early game) and a 15:00 Acca, which only featured games kicking off at 3pm or later.

As Arsenal played before the Manchester teams you would know the Arsenal result before the Utd/City games kicked off.

So you could have laid just Arsenal for £10.20 on Smarkets and then if Arsenal won you would need to calculate your lay stake to recover the £10 initial bet plus the liability you paid out in the Arsenal lay bet and lay the Utd/City combo that was listed under the 15:00 Acca market on Betfair.

It was only worth doing that as the aggregated lay odds were lower than the Arsenal/Utd/City option under the 12:30 Acca.

    Hope that makes sense :)

And Biscuit most likely just played it as a straight up matched bet, returning the same profit whether it won or not – he must have done to make £6 as obviously the treble didn’t come in thabks to Man U being utter shite. Again.

Tony is correct yes,I did the straight back/lay at 5/3 for the £6.10.I would have laid Arsenal 1st as Tony suggested but, didn’t think of it till it was too late!
