Coral – Real Madrid to Win by 3 or More Goals , £20 max

  • Forgive my ignorance, just seen this and was wondering how we can jump on the offer and get some profit? I missed out on the recent Holland game as (please forgive me) I simply could not work out what the correct lay bet was! Lots of advice on there, which I have re-read numerous times but still not certain – currently Betfair exchange has Real Madrid +3 lay odds of 1.03. My head tells me this is the right “lay bet” but surely the odds are too far for my assumption to be correct!?!?!?

  • New to matched betting?

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

Real Madrid +3 is them getting a 3 goal headstart so if they won 1-0 you would lose at Coral and pay at the exchange

You need to lay on the winning margin market which Real by 3 is currently laying at 11 although I’m not sure if thats specifically by 3 goals or at least 3 goals

Just dont lay Real +3 because even though you wont pay out much they would need to lose by 3 goals for you to win at the exchange

The correct market to lay is Real in the Sporting +2 market. This market means “who will win if you give sporting 2 extra goals”.

No liquidity in this market yet.

Thought it was too good to be true – will still clear of this one for now and get some kip! Many thanks for your responses.

The correct market is Asian Handicap – Real Madrid -2.5.

Agree with Sunny, always go for Asian Handicap with these bets with a .5 ratio (so -2.5 NOT -3.0)

This also has better liquidity than the Sporting +2 market selecting Real Madrid -2.

The reason you can’t go with Sporting +2 is that if it finishes 3-1 to Real the Coral bet would lose and the Sporting +2 would have its stake refunded, as it’s effectively a draw (3-3). You have to dutch with the Sporting +2.5 market as others have said, or lay Real -2.5.

Why do you say 3-1 would have its stake refunded as is effectively a draw?
Sporting would have failed to win with a 2 goal handicap so lost the bet.

He’s talking about the Asian Handicap market ;)

Indeed. In Asian Handicap markets, a draw is a push, so you get your stake back.

So +2 in the normal handicap market, which I think is what monkey tennis was suggesting.

Yes, the options to lay this off are:

    1) Asian Handicap market: “Real -2.5”
    OR
    2) Sporting Lisbon +2 market: “Real -2”

You could also dutch it as advised above.
