Depositing

  • So I am brand new to matched betting as of today, I came accross a tutorial on the process of matched betting online, I signed up for bet fair and coral.co.uk. I cannot complete my deposits due to my card type, my card is a nationwide flex one and apparently they have blocked all deposits to betting sites. I am just wondering can I still utilise matched betting using PayPal as a method to deposit funds? I realise that PayPal is a valid deposit method however, corals sin up offer of betting 5 pounds and receiving a free 20 pounds bet excludes PayPal deposits in the ts&cs.

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

You can still matched bet but you’ll be limited as some bookies don’t accept Paypal and some, as you’ve found, exclude it for promotions.

If Nationwide won’t let you deposit with bookies, I’d set up an additional bank account with someone else, I use a Club Lloyds account, that works fine.

It may be the case that Nationwide have blocked your deposits as an anti-fraud measure.

You might just need to give them a call to let them know that your card hasn’t been stolen and it was you trying to make those deposits. You should be fine after that.

It’s frustrating but at the same time reassuring that the bank is proactive in looking after you as a customer.
