The betfair market at 2.5 is for McGregor by KO or TKO, whereas smarkets is just to win the fight. You get the double odds on the fight result market for McGregor at 1.8 so you’re best off just matching that on smarkets for a small QL then hoping he wins by KO or TKO to get 80% of your stake as free bets. Probably not a good idea to lay off one of betfairs own sportsbook promos on their exchange, thats asking for a gubbing.

I’ve got £25 on McGregor at 2.5 Betfair.
And layed Mcgregor at 1.88 for £33.60.
    Is that ok?

Did you read the post above yours?

As McGregor won by decision (not by KO or TKO) you will have lost both bets here I’m afraid @Densman so a net loss of something like £54 I suspect.

That is unless the price of a McGregor victory (by any means) shot up to 2.5 on Betfair Sportsbook before the fight, which I don’t think it did.

    An expensive lesson :(
Wiped out a couple of good days.
I still have a £50 free bet from Ladbrokes so looking to claw some of it back.
I’m of cause open to any suggestions, tho my smarkets account is now down to £125.

I honestly didn’t know that smarkets had an mma market, anyone know if they have done this before?
