Dry patch after December?

  • Hey I was just wondering for those that have been doing matched betting for a while after December will the offers start to dry up?this December has been crazy and full of offers/advent calendars etc.

  • New to matched betting?

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

Only seems natural that the promos will tail off after the party season. Although given that people are likely to be spending less, the bookies might do more to encourage business. It’s a good question. I only started this about June/July.

Maybe Paddy will do the in-play offer that stopped at the end of November again(bet 20 get 10 inplay),or maybe WH will continue the December offer in January (bet 20 get 10 inplay),hopefully a Bet 365 offer or two.

    We will see I guess.

WH will stop their in play offer and i wouldn’t be surprised if Paddy start up again. It’s usually from March until end of summer where you make the most money.Think there will be offers as Fa cup, league cup & the tennis season starts up again with Aussie open in jan

March 2015 it was on fire! Cheltenham festival and the Grand National had great offers,Bet 365 did quite a few offers of (our favorite) £50 inplay offer at the Champions League late stages, loads of offers between March and May,Hope it’s the same in 2016.

I rarely mug bet to be honest Betty.
sometimes I will put a fiver on say a Celtic win in the Scottish Prem,or whatever, but I’ve just been lucky over the year that most of my bets seem to win with the exchange, and even if I win with the bookies I keep the money in for the next offer(although I withdraw if a last minute bill comes up for example),I do try to win with the exchange, and definitely over the year the “bookies” have had the “better” of me lol.

Matt has a great topic on mug betting on this site, well worth a look.

There’s always another sporting event around the corner that the bookies will fight for you business on IMO.

Personally, I’m looking forward to seeing what the olympics brings, I can’t imagine many folk have been matched betting long enough to see the last one.

The start of Jan could well be a bit quiet in comparison to the last couple of months. I see this as a good chance to setup some Accas. Doubt we will be short on offers though. Skybet will still have their Championship offer on Fridays and their free bet club though. Betsafe will still have their Man City offer. Ladbrokes and William Hill will do C4 Racing for those who do that. Bet365 will have their daily races and C4 racing offers. Paddy Power are likely to do something, Boylesports may keep up their bet £40 get £20 they have been doing lately. Betfred/Totesport will have some racing offers. 888.com will still have Goals mean more and other offers so I would not feel too concerned myself yet.

On top of this you have the goal scorer offers on Willy Hill and Ladbrokes which can be quite profitable. We will find out soon 🙂

Certainly feels like there are less offer than normal to me!

A lot of the enhanced odds offers now seem to be on outcomes that cannot be layed with a single bet (e.g. BTTS & over 2.5 goals) and for some reason there seems to be zero liquidity in the Anytime Wincast markets on Betfair, which is the other common price boost on Hills, Paddy etc…

Maybe it’s time to turn my attention to the larger SUBs that I still have to tackle, although I really don’t like the looks (or reports) on some of the bookies in question.

Acca insurance might be something else that I need to look into properly. I see there is a good, detailed thread somewhere on here about it now.

Fingers crossed one of the big boys wakes up and starts offering something better than the MBS horses (they are just annoying) and the odd price boost on something relatively unlayable 🙁
