Each way arbing

  • Hi guys, I have used up all of the new customer offers and heard about ew arbs. My problem
Is I can’t get my hand around it and wondered if someone can explain for me?

    Cheers

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

    Yep thats it.

Tricky usually does come up different to Matt’s calculator on here too so I have no idea why there is a discrepancy.

Im really happy some of you guys are finding the twitter account useful… especially you Chris… you seam to be sweeping up the place money like we are!
I think ew arbing is for the more experienced matchbettors that have now built up decent sums they can leave in their exchange accounts… for me betting £10ew would not be worth the effort however there could be value in just laying the win off and not laying the place… eg on the horse today Chris talked about you were getting 3.8 for a horse whose true place odds were around 2.7ish… providing you are not taking a loss on the win then over a long period of time you will be in profit using this method because you are getting value!

Quite often it is acceptable to take a loss on the win because the place odds are stacked so much in your favour… eg back 15.0 lay 17.0 on the win but get 3.8/2.4 on the place… you could still profit!

I always underlay the place now so break even if unplaced and make bigger profits if placed… sometimes even leave a few extra £££ on the win that you can cover with the place to still break even or get a bigger win… whichever suits you?

I think around 8 from 10 we have tipped have placed so underlaying the place has been hugely benificial to our profits!

On 16 runner plus hcaps i try to back as many as i can get that have a profitable place arb because it either reduces the commission because more chances of horses placing or even eradicates it completly… we had 1 on sunday just £30 ew on a 20/1 (1/4 odds) winner … laid win 21.0 so didnt make a bean on win.. but had 3 other chances in race that we didnt lose any commission on the win market!
The place we got 5.0 laid 4.0 for just £30 so again made just £30 but reduced our commission by 80% on the place market!
That was our worst of the 4 horses result wise 1 we were getting over £120 if just placed… the 1 we tipped 18/1 ruby walsh horse!
    Anyway good luck guys
