Extra Place Scamming

  • Hi all, I wanted to write this post in regard to some posts ive seen in the past about Coral regarding extra places (what a surprise) and another thread ive just seen in oddsmonkey called “sky extra place gubbing”. First of all, the term “gubbing” here is definitely not accurate. It’s scamming plain and simple, and is another example of where the bookies are heading, completely cutting out casual and value punters and focussing solely on problem gamblers.

    Anybody any experience with these scams? I’m not sure if there are certain bookies I need to completely cut out with these extra place scams. Thanks.

    I’ve only heard of Boyles doing this.

    Would be a real killer for me if others followed suit.

    Not come across this myself, still get extra places on gubbed accounts and even BOG on Paddy Power. Would defo be a killer if they took that away. More likey to get restricted right down to pennies.

    Yeah I still get extra places on gubbed/restricted accounts. But a lot of em now my max stake at under €10s less on bigger odds. Hills about the only gubbed account I can still lump on up to€100ew
    Will get round to opening mates/girlfriends accounts soon.. Too busy atm.. Prob in time for chelts

    Saw some potential for small ew scraps of value in the 240 & 255 but slim pickingd
    Struck early doors with value on steamers while traders were waking up! And booshed on illumitise 6s,rodeo dobo 5s and follow steps 7/2. All ep races so worth getting out just for tben as they were win arbs hen I booshed and have continued to come in.
    Otherwise race of day for ew value prob the 400 weather’s with boyles paying 5

    Still it may have a scrap of relevance here as all my bets were in extra place races!
    I’m not bothering to re paste these in correct threads!
