If you look on the oddschecker website there are a few firms that are paying either six or seven places, all the ones paying seven are 1/5th odds though.

Like you I have not found any decent odds yet, maybe we are too early.

i tend to just look at the 1/4 odds as much closer matches can be achieved . gonnae leave it till wednesday night should be plenty liquidity by then. also betstars are paying money back if 2nd/3rd outright market.

Agreed with Gman, get a closer match with the odds for the 1/4 terms even if its one less place. I find the effective odds makes more sense.

Nothing too close at the moment but its the same usual ones that are tightening up odds wise – Hideki Matsuyama, Rickie Fowler, Scott Adams, Branden Grace…. Keep an eye on them.

Dustin Johnson is 10.0 on BMcL, implies 3.25 to place. Can lay for 9.2 (win) and 3.45 (place). QL on £10.00 bet is -£0.04. Win £32.46 if he finishes in the extra place. So effective odds of 834.4 to finish 6th.

Always check MetMcLean, they are a NI firm so I guess get a lot of cash on McIlroy. Usually have good odds on Dustin to balance it out. There was an arb on him in the British Open too.

+ money back as a free bet if he is 2nd or 3rd.

Betstars are doing money back up to £25 as a free bet if your player finishes 2nd or 3rd (including ties). I dont usually do these golf offers including extra place as they are really unlikely to win but McIllory is presently 9.5/9.4 so may be worth a shot given 19p qualifying loss.

Stan James bet in play get free 5.

McIlroy is 8.0/8.4 for a £1.29 QL.

Not a great deal but should make some guaranteed profit. I found in the Open it was easy to get decent extraction on the free 5 in play with the exchange moving quicker than the bookie was able to get some great odds.
