  • So Vizez asked how to calculate the percentage you should get returned on a risk free bet but I am not entirely with it. If I have a £30 risk free bet in lehmans terms how would I calculate what percentage of it I should be able to extract? Can anyone give me a numerical example?

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

Sorry mate I didn’t explain myself well. I meant the cash back you’d expect to extract. Most of the time Matt says its 80% some 90% but how do you estimate this?

Depends on the bookie. Anywhere between 70 and 95%. Which one are you thinking about?

Depending on the level of risk it’s possible to take more than 100% from a free bet.

I have done quite well backing 1-1 on the footy where the bookie odds are favorable pre match and looking to lay in play either at half time if no goals or as soon as either team scores. Doesn’t always turn a 100% conversion but even waiting to lay it at half time when it’s 0-0 gives around 80% back in my experience.

2-1 on the team yiu expect to win also works quite well as if the team you expect to win score early on you can wait for the next goal to lay off.

I must thank someone on the forum for this strategy as it was mentioned on here and I forget who by.

Youll struggle to get 80% out of that one as you have to bet at fairly short odds to get the full £40 on.
