Getting Gubbed

  • Hi, I was wondering what peoples views on bookies limiting customers stakes.

Why are they allowed to keep taking your losing bets, but if you keep winning they will limit you? I think there should be a change in the law about this.

    Any thoughts people?

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

As long as they are able to close accounts without giving any reason, there is no way round it. That is precisely what they would do if they were forced to stop limiting stakes. Also as much as I dont like it, I think they should be able to have the option of whether they want to offer you custom or not, particularly when such activity is eating into their profits. They are a business afterall.

There is a difference between gubbed and stake limited, but either way there should be more transparency
I’ve experienced a blanket ban from promos and refusal to accept bets before I’ve done anything, but ‘i am welcome to use the casino’. I don’t think it’s right when a sportsbook is that blatant a front for a casino
