Gubbed Virgin Bet less than a month

  • I’ve had my virginbet account for less than 1 month, and I’ve just had an email essentially telling me I’m gubbed. Is that normal? Will it happen that quickly with the others?

It was my most active account, as I’d opted into the weekly acca and had won a couple of times with them, but I didn’t think I’d done anything crazy…

I was doing a few horse races and football games , and then obviously did Cheltenham, so not sure what I’ve done to attract attention!

  • New to matched betting?

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

Exactly the same thing happened to me, @Amateurish1. I opened an account with them just before Cheltenham, because their “free bet if loses” and “free bet if 2nd or 3rd” offers are so good. I placed a couple of bets each day for a couple of weeks, but well before the end of March they had gubbed me.

My only consolation is that I made £300 profit out of them before they restricted my account. I’m sure if we’d been placing mug bets and losing money hand over fist, they wouldn’t have done that.

Same here – took about 3 weeks to get gubbed.

Annoyingly, I put a fair amount of effort to make sure account activity looked ‘natural’ by placing various singles & small ACCAs.

I’m guessing all accounts are under manual human review for at least the first month (unless bookies are sharing information with each other on gubbed customers?)
