Help needed with Bet365 Welcome Offer please
-
Hi all,
I used the welcome Bet365 offer and they matched my first deposit of 50. I now had £100 in my account. So I bet the first 50 (real money on low odds and matched bet it on smarkets) and then the second 50 of bonus money on a market with high odds (4) and matched bet that treating it as a free bet. However, both the bets won so I now have 300 in bet365 with only 100 withdrawable as the 200 was tied up in bonuses. For b365 I need to wager 200 more in stakes to be able to withdraw that bonus. So again I bet the first 100 on a low odds market to get it out of the way and am now betting the 200. I do not know if i should treat this 200 as a free bet or qualifying bet now to extract money from it? Because it is not free money as it has my lay bet money from the first bet tied up in it?
Thank you.

New to matched betting?
My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

you shouldn’t be treating anything as a “free bet” at 365, all the bonus funds are stake returned with rollover. just treat it all as a “qualifying bet” and roll through until you have no more money in 365 or you have completed wagering and can withdraw.
There’s a guide I posted at the top of the forum which is based on 365:

+0There’s a difference between a freebet and bonus. Coral give freebet so use free bet calculator. 365 Bonus funds use normal qualifying calculator.Houre actually better off as it won, but from now on only use qualifying calculator on LOW ODDS (1.5 min) until you bust out to 0 or do the full rollover.
+0Hi guys thanks for your useful replies.
How do I differentiate between a free bet and a qualifying bet in this case? I thought the matched 50 they gave me for depositing is a free bet as it has already been unlocked by a qualifying bet and isn’t my money.
Thanks.
+0put simply, 365 don’t do free bets. they give you bonus funds and require you to rollover your winnings.
the key to understanding which way to do an offer is to find out whether they give you the stake back or not. you need to read the T+Cs and find out whether the offer is “stake returned” or “stake not returned”. If its the former, you almost certainly will need to do a rollover and use qualifying bet settings at any odds (although low are usually better), if it is the latter you treat as a free bet and use high odds.
HTH
edit: some bookies don’t say if they give you the stake back, so you can usually assume they do and expect you to rollover (it will tell you how many times and at what minimum odds etc). The bookies that don’t usually scream in big bold letters STAKE NOT RETURNED – so they are the free bet guys
+0Having discovered matched betting long after I registered with Bet365 I had this e-mail the other day,
“We’ve not seen you for a while at bet365 and we would of course love to welcome you back. As ever we have a huge range of promotions available, and we would like to offer you a £100 bonus.
There’s some great sporting action to bet on this weekend including The Open Championship Golf at Royal Birkdale, fixtures from the International Champions Cup and the start of the World Matchplay Darts from the Winter Gardens in Blackpool, so why not take this opportunity to claim your Deposit Bonus?
Simply make a deposit of £10 or more and you will be entitled to a 100% Deposit Bonus up to a maximum of £100. How to claim your bonus… Log in and deposit £10 or more to your account. Go to Services, Members and then Offers. Select Offers Available, and click Claim Now. To bet with your bonus, simply turn over the amount of your deposit once on the sports and markets of your choice. Please note, you must have settled bets to the value of three times your deposit and bonus prior to making a withdrawal.
This offer will match your first qualifying deposit with a 100% bonus. You have 90 days from us crediting the bonus to your account in which to meet the necessary turnover requirements, after which any funds held in your bonus balance will be forfeited. Any single bets placed at odds of less than 1/2 (1.50) will not count towards any turnover requirement. In multiple bets at least one selection must have odds of 1/2 (1.50) or greater to count towards any turnover requirement and some markets are restricted. Bets which are Cashed Out or placed on Instant Games will not count towards the turnover requirement. Where a bet has been edited using our Edit Bet feature, the original stake will not count towards this turnover requirement and only the new stake will count.”
Just completed the wagering requirements so I’m up £100 🙂
Anybody else had this offer?

if memory serves they give out bonuses every month, and they go up in line with how much you bet with them. I remember in big months like chelts etc getting £25 and £50 out of them, although that may have changed since I got restricted.
