Help with Acca's

  • Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone was willing to share some past accas that they have laid?

Im looking to start doing these regularly, maybe one a week but im struggling to get the numbers right, when i add the odds in to the spread sheet i always seem to end up with a loss, i cant find games that are low enough odds at the start to make it profitable?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Alex

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

Use an odds checker website to find you the best odds. This has already been covered with worked examples. Personally (someone also mentioned this the other day) I let the first 1 or 2 games go before laying games. It works for me

I use Oddschecker to find the games but in the examples i have seen previous (not yesterdays thread) the first few games are as low as 1.09 etc and i can never find anything that low.

Am i right in thinking that the measure of the success relies on the first one, two or three games coming in and then this gives you some liquidity in your acca to start laying it?

There is not always good fixtures for profiting from accas – right now its not worth putting any on. Wait until a few of Bayern, Barca, Real, PSG, PSV, Olympiacos, City, Celtic, Rangers etc are playing weak teams at home and they will be sub 1.2

Many people on here mention the strategy of hoping the first few win then laying – imo this is pointless, obviously if the first legs lose you are down the entire stake – if you are taking this approach you may as well not lay anything. If you are calculating the lay stakes properly you profit form every acca, regardless of how many legs lose.

    Hi Jeremy,

How do you always profit from every Accra, as the lay odds are usually higher plus the commission on any returns/winnings?
    Many thanks

When the odds are good the portion of the £50 free bet we get when one selection exactly loses which we can lock in is greater than the losses from higher lay odds and exchange commission, ie we only proceed with accas which we know to be profitable.

Essentially you underlay each leg in turn, but if a leg loses start over laying your losses to that point, of course stopping if 2 legs lose. I am not going to discuss the details of calculating the lay stakes to ensure equal profit for all outcomes but I think it was touched on by others in a different thread.

The problem i have is that everytime i type the odds into that dominator spreadsheet it says i will lose money if the acca wins.
Maybe i need to play around with lay stakes
So if 5 legs win do you just underlay the 6th? As if it wins you have less liability and if it loses you get a free bet?

Yes Ice, if your first five legs win the only way to guarantee profit is to underlay the 6th leg for the reasons you have given.

Anyone have Den Haag in a acca just now?. 2-0 up could have laid them again @ 1.02. Didnt bother and they went and conceded 3 goals in 5 mins and lost 3-2. Chelsea had better win now!!!
