Could someone explain the difference between these two offers

  • Hi guys,
Still havent managed to find a horse with odds tight enough to back on a 2nd place refund and I`ve seen a couple but missed them.

Anyway could someone explain the difference between these two offers

    Betfred £25 Refund “2nd Place”

Paddy Power £25 Refunds “2nd to SP favourite”

I obviously understand the Betfred one but the second one confuses me

    Thanks for your help
    James

Favourite has to win and your horse second. Look for 2nd fav. in race with few horses (watch for minimum number). Really tight odds < £1 QL

14.30 Lingfield Paddy. Never Folding. Odds are crap but good contender for 2nd to SP.

    Not advice, just an example

£££££££££££££££’s £25fb at least. Well doneJim – should have taken my own “not advice”, haha.
It’s betting captain, but not as we know it.

Yes don’t back the favourite, nor one that may start as favourite.

Odds were 3/3.3 when I first posted. Then they drifted. If it had won you could have gotten BOG.

Paddy offer if for 5 or more runners

    Classic mate !

Im actually taking Paddy power to the cleaners right now the mug bets Ive placed with them keep winning, They gave me a free £10 bet for something which I didnt know I had until last night so I thought sod it and dropped it on leicester to beat Liverpool without laying it just as a fun bet and that gave me £40, I won the first horse race with them today but I layed that so I didnt make anything but they still coughed up £40 and now this bet which you gave me the nod on lol !!

So whats the 3 o clock at Lingfield saying ? is it speaking to you lol

Any of the 5 horses have good chance of coming 2nd and at least 3 could be favouite.

    Which one to bet on?.

One thing I used to check on the 2nd to SP was the odds on naming 1st, 2nd. For example you can bet on this on bet365 with senockian star 1st and dutch uncle 2nd.

For a £3 stake its paying back £23.40.

So if you have a QL close to £3 you are going to have to rethink about the value of it considering you can get better value on the forecast.

    If that made sense.

don’t confuse us FoG. Will think about it.
Trying to keep it simple for Captain Kirk atm.

btw FoG 365 seems to have tighten the odds on the without races.

You bet on the favouite Jim so no possibility of FB. You need to find a race with clear 1st and 2nd favourite.

Yes it does make sense Fog Blog ! I`m not a memeber of Bet365 I was saving up some cash to make use of their sign up offer,

Sleepless I`m not sure I understand this .. and at least 3 could be favouite.

I really know naff all about horses I just thought the favourite was the top horse on the list ?
