Horse Racing 1st March – Offers

  • Paddy – 2nd to SP refunds at Catterick

W Hills – 2nd to SP refunds at Catterick and Lingfield

    Bet365 – 4/1 win offer. 2.40 Lingfield, 5.00 Catterick

    Betfred/totesport – 2nd refunds 3.20 Leicester (credit Cashedup)

Personally I enjoy these 2nd to SP offers, they tend to result in lower qualifying losses than the general 2nd place and whereas they are harder to predict the amount of races available makes up for it. Been lucky with PP over the past week with 1/2 day and with W Hills overlapping at Catterick you can double up potential freebet or double the chances.

Look out for the 14.10, 15.40, 16.10, 17.10 at Lingfield and 14.30, 15.00 and 16.00 at Catterick. Depending on odds coming in/out there could be more or less to potentially look at.

Cheers felt – agree on quali losses being reduced over the previous money back 2nd offer on Hills. Did 5 races yesterday, 2 at a quali profit and all five at a net cost of less than £1. No refunds like, a few very close things, but that’s ok longterm

I’ll put this here rather than making it’s own thread. I know a lot of you don’t like these offers, but I think this one has value and is unlikely to suffer any changes to the Place terms given the number of runners (currently) in each race.

William Hill – Richard Johnson Enhanced Price Double @ 3.5
    1600 Catterick (6 runners, 2 places) – Royal Milan (1.65)
    1700 Catterick (12 runners, 3 places) – Wintered Well (1.70)

Sequential lay odds of 2.8 vs 3.5

    £50 stake would return £175 = £125 profit

Lay Royal Milan for £52.63 (£34.21 liability, assumes 5% comm)
Lay Wintered Well for £88.64 (£62.05 liability, assumes 5% comm)

    £125 – £34.21 – £62.05 = £28.74 net profit

Something to think about anyway ;)

I should add the following terms on the Hills offer page:

If the sum of the rule 4’s add up to 15p+ the market will be settled as an SP treble (sic, must mean double). If any of the selections are non runners the bet will revert to a SP double (sic, must mean single)

It appears to be a win double not a place double as you’ve portrayed it.

Ah no you’re right, it is place. Probably worth a shot then.

LOL – you gave me kittens for a second there Chris!

Looks like a few are already jumping on it given the movement in Royal Milan’s lay price ;)

No, hence why I referred to Betfair mate – even that isn’t exactly swimming in liquidity, but it’s still 3 hours til the off I suppose

LOL- Fav now a non runner in the 1600

Not sure what that means in terms of Rule 4? Any experts able to offer an opinion?

Hills still not showing Minella Daddy as a Non-Runner, random? Enhanced offer still therefore available, even though Betfair’s lay price from Royal Milan to place now reduced to around 1.4 as a result.

Need to find out what the rule 4 deduction will be though?
