Horse Racing (29th Feb)

  • First race to watch is the 2:10 at Ayr for Money back 2nd to SP on Will Hill.

Based on odds Orioninverness has a pretty good chance of finishing 2nd to SP (about 30% I estimate). But the exchange is going to have to do a lot better if you’re hoping to get a cheap qualifying loss. If you like a gamble you could pay up to £4 for this horse in my opinion …..

  • New to matched betting?

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

Fog, are you gubbed by various bookies yet? I refuse to engage in much horse racing as I’m convinced your account will have a very limited life span doing these promos.

I am restricted by 888sport (just did football acca’s – no horses – except I did start using the free bets on horses now that you mention it), betway (mostly basketball and tennis – but did do one horse promo the day before I was got), betfred (horses) and paddy power (football, boosts, horses). So maybe you are on to something.

I have Will Hill alive since December 1st and have done every horse race every day (except for a few weeks when I was out of territory at Christmas) and I have done very little other than their promos.

I don’t think there is much of a pattern in who gets restricted and not. There is a lot of guessing going on.

I expect to get restricted some time from Will Hill and probably soon – but I don’t fancy passing up profit between now and then or diluting my profit by overly mug betting ….

Most of my money is made on horses so, I’m not going to not do them.

I engage in an enormous amount of horse bets every day of the week. I’ve not been gubbed by anyone.

Was just scrolling for these myself, I can imagine we won’t be able to get close odds on the 2nd fav making it probably not worth it but who knows.
Regarding the horse racing comment this could be true..but considering that well over half my £5k profit I would say has come from horse racing (maybe not that much) but I am still glad I used the horse racing.

Wolves 1:50 – David’s Beauty back at 10/1 and lay at 10.5 at the moment for qualifying profit.

Its wide open for 2nd place in this race though.

I believe we are not limited to only the first bet per race that qualifies for the refund.
Therefore it might be worth going for more than 1 horse in a race, if odds are tight enough.

LJH Will Hill is always 1 horse.

    “First Selection per race only”.

Powerful Dream was 11.0/9.2 for a while there?! wtf?

Multiple horses per race, really? Now that is interesting – collective liability means that you could cover a fair few then, although it might look dodgy from the bookies’ POV?
