Horse Racing (July 31)

  • Did anyone get any free bets off BmcL today?

I had the winner in the 2:15 and still no free bet. Usually they have been much quicker than this.

  • New to matched betting?

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

I made a profile just to comment on this. I got four winners today (Minus £59 qualifying lose) but no free bets yet and live chat just brushed me off.

I was telling you yesterday I don’t trust these guys.

I’ve received no free bets for 3 or 4 winners. Currently the least of my worries however

I dont know what the offer was but its feasible to get that sort of QL if your overlaying like you can on the bet365 4/1offer. You can get a profit even with a £30 QL on one race doing that.

One free bet in, so far. Had three winners.

I don’t know who comes up with these offers sometimes. I think its someone in the marketing department, but really they should run them by the traders as well don’t you think. BmcL are struggling with this.

There were 8 Galway races yesterday. 59/8= £7.37 per race. I took one horse at 2.75/2.9 for example and backed £51.02 to break even if I lost. He won, so I won £87.50 at bookie and paid out 96.94 at bookie = £9.44 QL. Also had a match 5.5/5.6 which won so again down £9.31 to earn a free bet. My 3rd winner I tried to match at 5.5/5.5 but odds drifted out too fast. Lay odds were up at 7.2, but bookie odds had increased too so I had some BOG if I needed it. Didn’t want to let it all ride so managed to match at 5.5/6.8 to cut my losses guaranteeing £4.83 loss either way using up the free bet unless I got the BOG. He did win and I did get the BOG so I came out on top, but minus free bet my QL was £17.33. So for me QL yesterday were about £47.

I think £59 is a bit high unless you had a couple of little mini screw ups like I did. Pickle is right though you are still making a profit even taking up to £30 on a race – but there is an opportunity to make so much more… But it also depends on how much time you have to watch the odds fluctuating and when your free time is.

UPDATE: All 3 free bets in now.

I think it depends on your strategy Fog. I usually try to take the closest odds i can find but only on horses i think actually have a decent chance of winning. Ie id rather take 5.5/5.8 than if there was a 12/12 or something in the race. Ive no idea whats the most profitable long term though.
