BetFred boost on Stargazer in the 14:00 at Goodwood – 7.5//7.0 – not great in terms of an arb, but Bet365 match the boosted price, so you can get those odds there on what is the first Channel 4 feature race of the day.

Yep thats what I did Tony, on Stargazer at Bet365 7.5/7. He’s ridden by Moore so looking to avoid getting on his horses again at Betfred and Totesport.
Hope the midday boosts are better, they didn’t even advertise Stargazer, I just noticed it by chance.

I did Dwight D earlier this morning when he was 8.0/8.0 and made it a qualifying profit by doing e/w as his place price was 2.75/2.46.
This has now back fired on me with a couple of non runners B365 is paying 3 places but my lay is (reduced) but still stuck on 4 places. I have a reverse of the extra place situation where if he finished 4th now I am down on exchange and win nothing on bookie.
I wouldn’t mind but this isn’t the first time this has happened to me !
I had EIGHT horses covered for an extra place this week in one race and none of them hit, then FIVE in another race and still no hit. Also thought hard about Clarcam for the extra place in Galway yesterday but turn him down over a £1.29 QL, so he went and did it. Wait and see Dwight D will finish in the “Extra” place when I don’t want it. Guaranteed.

Odds at present are actually good for a change. Stargazer is 7.0, High Shields 10.0 and Ode to Evening 13.0 all laying very close to that.

Yep FoG thats the danger, you should wait to back and lay the place part of the bet until very close to the race.

Tony – if you have sportingbet, its a good idea to back Stargazer at 7 right now and overlay it. If in the event he does win then the loss resulting from the overlay will be covered by the win at Bet365. If it comes second then we get the £25 free bet and if third or lower no harm done.

peck, I just noticed the same thing. Its really odd as it doesnt even show up on the main horse racing screen. However, if you click on “all races” under Goodwood, the next page comes up with the 3.10 and it quite clearly says “counts for the Channel 4/1 offer”
