Hey just wondering i see some people lay the horse bets the day before the race for convenience what time is best to do this for the best price?and where can you see the offers for the following day?

You have to check the websites for their offers, will hill usually have a couple of money back offers on mobile so check there under horses. Paddy power have money back meet on 2nd to SP so check their promo section. Bet365 have 4/1+ special every day so check on the 4/1+ coupon on horses.
Matt recommends waiting close to the race start to place the bets – this gives two advantages. Firstly, the exchange tightens up and you can get a closer match. Secondly most normal punters bet coming up to the race so you blend in better by betting just before too.
Some ppl like to bet early but it can be hard to find a match early because the exchanges are pretty quiet. The clear advantage on betting early though is that you get Best Price Guranteed – so you could have a horse backed and laid at 5.0 and 5.5 for a qualifying loss. But if he goes off at 6.0 you will make an unexpected profit if he wins.
I dont know if anyone has tried to quantify the value of the Best Price Guarantee. My experience tells me there is definitely value there. For example if I go into Paddy Power and account and paddy power value – it tells me that I have won an extra €997 on Best Price Guarantees.

Thanks Fog Blog i am familiar with the bets but the reason i asked about the night before is because I’m not always around to wait around for the races so doing them the night before would be so much easier due to work. I just wondering if there was a time when the offers went up the night before roughly in the hope that if you catch it early you might have better chance of a match if there was enough money in the exchange.

Paddy power usually announce their promo meeting early enough – like as soon as the meeting from the previous day is finished.
Will Hill is usually up early enough too, but some ppl here seem to see it earlier than I do so maybe they are checking some where else. I usually check on mobile under horses between 6pm and 11pm, sometimes I don’t notice it till late.
Skybet is usually up early too if they are going to have a promo but not really any set time.
Its just keeping an eye. Just go on the websites/apps and check all the promo sections and horse racing sections and check on this forum maybe too and see what’s there. If you do that at about 9 or 10pm I’m sure you won’t miss much.
