how to "cash out" using the exchange on accy?

  • hi all

not really a matched betting question but on saturday i had a accumlator and the last leg was newcastle, bookie doesnt allow cash out so i wanted to cash out while newcastle were 1-0 up on smarkets but i didnt have a clue how to do this?

can anyone explain. my return was around £50 so when newcastle went 1-0 up the odds were roughly 1.2 how would i go about securing profit? i take it i would have to lay newcastle on the exchange but how much etc?

    thanks anyone,

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

    (Potential Profit/Exchange Comm)/Lay Odds

    In your case…

    (£50/0.98)/1.2 = lay stake of £42.52

If the acca wins you get £50 profit – £8.50 (lay bet liability) = £41.50

    If the acca loses you get £42.52 x 98% = £41.66

    HTH 🙂

The references to 0.98 and 98% assume you are using Smarkets. If it was Betfair you would use 0.95 and 95% (unless you are a big spender and have any discount in your commission on there)

Presumingyou had to let the acca run, worked out well for you 😉
