How to Deal with a 'Partially Matched Bet' ?

So you know the bookies odds for a horse, you are watching the lay odds and work your lay stake out, back your horse at the bookies and at the moment of pressing “confirm your bet” at the exchange, the odds drift out and do not come back in and so your bet is only partially matched…. is there a way to calculate how to get out of this situation please ?

I tried to cancel the bet but the partially matched stake obviously still stands… using the stake and liability figures in Smarkets, how do i calculate what i need to lay again at the new higher odds at the exchange ? (sorry i have not get and example to hand)

Still slowly learning…..thanks in advance of any advise

Try using this (change xx to tt) hxxps://www.trickybet.net/lay-calculator

it allows you to add part lays and works out what you need to lay at the new price.

You can use the calculator on here with the advanced setting which allows you to enter partial lays.
