Hyundai Golf – Brains Required

  • Sky offering 5 places on Hyundai golf champs. Exchange offering top4 places. Odds for Johnson to win 9.Sky paying 1/4 odds so that’s 3.0 to win/place in top 5. Currently can lay Johnson top 4 finish @ 2.82. Surely that means we can get at least a free go at a few quid on him finishing 5th. I’m afraid I can’t get my newbie head around the staking required?
    Thanks

Look for Matts post on the grand national bet365 offer last year, seems like a very similar if not the same situation here.

Had a look and all I saw was Each Way pays 1/5 on top 4, so must be a bit late.

But if that it were 1/4 on top 5 then I’d suggest the following (Initial stake pulled out of the air)
Bet £10 on EW on Johnson (£10 to win and then £10 to place)

Lay £8.59 on Johnson to win at 10.5 to cover the win part (loss £1.69)
Lay £10.71 on Johnson to place at 2.82 to cover the EW part (win 50p)

So no matter what happens you lose £1.16p on any result other than 5th
If Johnson finishes 5th you’d win £30.5 (£20 on EW at skybet, £10.5 at exchange)

Someone may want to check my logic as its been a while
