The government bring in a new tax /legislation back in spring last year bud. It meant that so many bookies couldn’t operate here unless they forked out more to the Dail.
I used to have between 40-50 accounts with different bookies but that number was halved with the new legislation. Fortunately though some of them have worked their way around it.
NetBet were gone and are now back for Irish customers, the same with DafaBet and a few more.
As for sign up bonuses 90% of the time we get the same offers as customers in the UK (it’s the least they could do after invading us haha), apart from Betfred who don’t give us the same sign up but the other promos are offered. The only difference is that the offers are worth far more in £ than in shitty weak €’s

I am an Irish player too! I’ve only started matched betting today, but have been abusing bonuses since last May! I have to say I am so glad to have come across this site. I have been blogging and tweeting for months about these and nobody was impressed! Its good to see other ppl getting just as excited as I do when I see a bookie coming out with a Bet 20 Get 10 or Money Back 2nd offer.

Also for the Irish guys – or non Brits.
What do you think – a £20 free bet is worth more than a €20 free bet, so its better to bet in UK.
When I was signing up to Coral today I had an option of picking GBP as my currency but I didn’t. Is there a way of setting your accounts to GBP to make more on matched betting.

GRAB ANY NEW ACCOUNT OFFERING GBP that you can bud instead of our shitty euro. The difference is huge. A lot of my older accounts are only in yo-yo’s and I wish so much they were in GBP for the matched betting anyway because the difference is mega over time.

Thanks Dan. Good advice. The only drawback is that my exchange accounts are in euros. So when I opened Ladbrokes today in GBP I was trying to convert between euros and pounds with two minutes before the race and the exchange prices jumping from 2.02 to 2.3.
I ended up underlaying both qualifying bet and free bet. Losing a little because of my mistake.
But for joining I got 5 spins in the casino which I won £16 which more than made up my loss. So all is good.

Have you tryed change currency on existing bookie account? I just mailed one of the bookie and asked them to change currancy on gbp they sed no problem but i need to give them a reason why i waanna change it? not sure what to say but will try find a fake reason

Ah ya I forgot about having to convert the difference. Have to do it with the odd account myself like BetBright and it’s a pain!
+0I know this is an old thread but I was wondering if anyone has any experience of opening accounts with Betsson or Betsafe. They have fairly good welcome offers but none of the matched betting services cover the offer as it isn’t open to UK matched bettors.

You should be able to find some thorough reviews online.
I can’t really comment on Betsson but I don’t recall any major issues with Betsafe when they were open to UK customers.
