Is boyle sports crossbar offer worth it?

I tried this last week. Backing and laying on each eligible bet. None hit the crossbar of course. -11 loss.
I’m having a hard time finding clear cut stars of how often or in average the crossbar is hit on premier league weekend football.
I don’t watch that much football so I was wondering is my loss the exception or the norm? Cheers.

New to matched betting?
My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

There are several soccer stats sites available on line that would answer your question. I’ve not used any of them, and I think most of the better ones are subscription based. I am sure there are some free ones however so if no one else answers your question, I would have a good look around the net.
I would imagine boyles have done some research on this offer and have probably worked out it will not cost them much if anything over the long run so that might tell you something.
I watch a fair bit of soccer, off the top of my head I would think if you select your matches carefully you might find it profitable. Perhaps choose matches where one team is a lot better than its competitor and is likely to have lots of shots on goal. Selecting matches where both teams are fairly even and will tend to cancel one another out and produce a very tight game with very few chances on goal would be a game to avoid for this offer I would think.
+0It’s a bit of a gamble.
I have two problems with it.
1. They are very particular about the rules. Post doesn’t count. Off the cross bar and in doesn’t count. Off the crossbar and over doesn’t count. Has to bounce back into play.
2. Only losing bets are refunded. So QL is always cheaper on the favourite so most the time the crossbar is hit you probably have the winner backed so no free bet.
Go for really really low qualifying losses on this one. Some ppl enjoy it. It is a bit of a gamble. I seem to remember during the World Cup they had a lot of matches refunded. It’s not for me at the moment. Unless I find/do some research that says crossbar is hit once in five.
You could check boylesports Twitter feed for this.
+0Good post, was contemplating the same thing myself after last weekend and today.
Myy thoughts, I canned the shit out of this for the Euros and I must say I made fantastic profit off of it. However, as Fog said they’ve bended the rules, the pricks, and the ball must now come back into play. in 2 games last weekend the ball did hit the bar and went out of play, no refund. I was disgusted.
However, as you can take ANY market in these it is possible to find VERY small qualifying losses bets. I’m going to play with it for another few weeks. Variance is obviously a huge factor in these so it could be a case of 3/4 games coming along in quick succession.
Stick with it mate, keep the quals low and we’ll know more later. I like to tie it into other offers and ways in which I can get 0% commission on betfair etc.
+0I’d say if you get very low qualifying losses it surely has to be profitable. For arguement sake say a 50p loss…and also £20 extraction from the free bet, I would be very surprised if you didn’t get a free bet within 40 goes regardless if sometimes when the crossbar is hit your bet wins and doesn’t loses. As Fog said i’d also just do it for the fun, the small losses will get mixed in with all your profits for the weekend anyway you won’t even realise.
+0Burnley currently 21/20 for 75p qualifying profit
+0Matt’s been blogging this since August.
Total profit on this offer is £14.04 from 11 times it has been blogged. He will usually cover up to 6 matches each time it is blogged but sometimes just 1 match – so for arguments sake say 30 matches covered to make £14.
So not great profit in this. So far maybe its been 50p per game.
+0Not good numbers. I’ve done it 6 times and made £40. It’s a really quick offer to do though, I got all of Saturday’s matches done in 2 minutes for a £1.50 QL, has to be worth it.

I’d say its worth it and there are plenty of ways to keep qualifying losses down, easy as Boylesport odds are actually really good.
When there is Champs League and Europa football on you can get on those games too for more chances. It was definitely profitable for me, think I managed about 15 goes and I’d say I hit it plenty of times, 7 or 8 perhaps.
The problem is keeping your account/s. I’ve had three accounts with them, all got gubbed really quickly.
You need to work on your qualifying losses, those are way too high.
+0It was twatted twice in the Spurs v Leicester game…
+0For me so far yes it is but small sample size and small stakes as trying to build a profile with Boylesports before the gubbing comes!
Have done this the last 21 matches that this has been on and the crossbar refund has been given 6 times and I have gained 3. Does not deliver big profits BUT has given profit.
The main thing is to get the lowest QL possible and cover every game.
+0I must be lucky with this offer have had 7 free bets recently
+0Variance can work for you as well as against you ;)
+0True :) and I just got another, can’t see my account lasting much longer with them but ill take what I can while I can.
+0Changed to winning bets now and only Arsenal/Spurs this week.
Losing too much?.
+0much better offer now I’d say. Arsenal are 1.95/1.99 for QL of £0.75, just hope they have it on a few more games this weekend
