My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

Why would you do that Fog.

Mark estimates true odds at 5.8 and betfair is currently at 6.0 to back with 5% commission.

    Doesnt look attractive to me.

Yeah I agree but that doesnt mean the exchange will reflect that.

Take the one at the weekend for example on Sky, I punted that because the lay odds at Betfair were 8.4 when I looked having been 7.6 when the offer went off and offering a paltry £12 underlay profit for a treble that had odds of 9.0. At 2.45pm I looked again just in case and they were 8.6.

Yeah you are right Patrick. If you could back it at 6.2 like marks “astute trader” though would maybe have a small positive expectation.

With respect, if the trader in question has the float to expose himself to that level of liability, I doubt he would be frequenting this site!

The way I see it is that firstly this is a value bet. Leicester are top of the league, Chelsea are in great form and Everton are also very good away from home and up against the team bottom of the league.

I know this is matchedbetting and gambling is not why we’re here but this offer involves three teams winning for a potential return of just £38 at the present lay odds. Yeah if it loses you lose nothing because of underlaying but you’re still paying 5% to betfair. Same if it wins, I really dont think it’s good to pay betfair £7 for a £13 profit after THREE teams have won.

If the lay odds were 5.5 as Mark estimates then yeah its worth underlaying.

I expect some debate and arguement here such as we’re always paying commission that lower our profits etc, this is just the way I choose to play these if I think there is a high chance of the boost winning and the underlay profit is poor.

I won £90 on the Sky one at the weekend for example so it’s not like I cant afford to lose £10 here in the event it didnt win.

From experience these tend not to correct themselves. A few times I’ve backed the inflated prices on Betfair with the view to lay off at corrected price closer to kick off, ones with much better expected value than tonight’s. Just not sure there’s much interest in the ACCA Market outside the matched bettor’s laying off and the bookies sticking lumps down to reduce liability.

This is why I just put my £5 free bet from Sky on it. It’s got a fair chance of coming in at £27.50 with no loss.

i agree with Chris this has a solid chance of winning!i will be underlaying for sure!

If you do punt it and all is going well at half time, the market will be available for about 10 minutes and if two or three teams are leading, the lay odds should make underlaying favourable and therefore risk free.

Odds now 6.4 with another £5000 chucked in for 6.6 when the 6.4 pot has gone. Really not worth underlaying now.

Punt £10 on it or take a bigger punt with £25 and see whats doing at half time.

Quite glad I managed to jump on it last night @6 then. I would imagine 2 bookies doing the same promo (albeit with a fair difference in the odds) has forced this up so high

The odds on both sky and ladbrokes seem to be 6/1 now.
