Late withdrawal and Rule 4 not applied
-
I think I have seen something on this before, but is it just down to an error as such?
Newcastle 18:15 I used my WH boost to boost Evies Wish from 2.5 to 2.61 lay was at 2.46 so guaranteed £9.67.
I have just looked now to see there was a reduction applied on betfair which reduced my lay odds to 2.2 due to Golden Easter 12/1 being withdrawn late on. (whether this was due to it not going into the starting gate i’m not sure). On the racing post it states Rule 4 applies to all bets deduction 5p in a pound.
However, my William Hill bet has still paid me out at odds of 2.61 – £522. So this has resulted in a profit of around £65..happy days!
My question being is this just an error on WH behalf? or do sometimes bookies not apply a rule 4 if so late on?
Thanks

New to matched betting?
My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

Hey Ryan
The horse won at 2.5 after the reduction factor was applied so William Hill basically didnt reduce your boost, thats all i can think of.
+0Hills apply rule 4 then recalculate the boost after that. But there’s quite a few bookies that don’t apply the 5p deduction so probably just that
+0Yep agree with betman. With the weather being poor tomorrow there could be a lot of non runners. Mixed in with bog just taking bets for a few pence profit or a small ql can add to the profit totals.
