Wouldnt call it a crazy arb, its worth £5 for every £100 staked.

Ha, possibly slipping into hyperbole. It’s £7.82 for every hundred staked @ 2%. More interestingly, its on the PP 2-up special so it’s a free shot at £890 too. Risk of destroying the bank before Grand National but worth it imo.

Yeah but its money tied up until tonight and you risk your account for a tiny profit. You can find much better arbs on Bet365 in play markets as they are slow to update. Last night I had 51/26 on Inverness which yielded £46 from a £50 stake.

The 15.00 race at Carlisle today will also give you plenty of arb opportunities with potentially bigger profits.

All good points, mate. I can’t be on the racing today but thanks for the tips. Bournemouth cut to 7.50 now. I guess a solution with a situation like that is to moderately back it and leave it unlaid until after the racing. Even if it drifts a little then you’d still break even. Good luck this afternoon with the EWAing.

Thanks, need it, on a bit of a bad run with the weekday ew arbing. Three horses covered in this one so hopefully something.

@Chris, would you mind elaborating on how you go about finding these arbs? Is it a case of just scouring the markets until you spot one? Or do you use some kind of software?

@chris do you just take huge risks on the win part of these arbs or do you just pray the lay moves to a sensible price close to the off.

pasture – its easy to scour in play markets and find arbs, essentially what i do.

xeno – I back early when prices of the 2nd, 3rd and 4th favs tend to be the best and hope the lays come in otherwise I take a loss on the win part. Although the favourite does look nailed on in this race, its not worth the risk of him falling or flopping and losing hundreds.

I always underlay the place arbs so when they do come in they easily wipe out the qualifying losses on the win parts. Havent gone crazy with the stakes on this one either, £35 each way.

@Chris £50 on a 51/26 arb is that right? How much liability did you need for that, was it £2453.75 at Smarkets?
ps Is it easy to get £50 on a 51 odds shot at 365?

@chris so when I checked prices earlier best available were 10,15,17,21. on 2-5th favs , the lays at present are 14,32,30,32 but should improve . that’s hefty losses on 3 horses and requires at least 1 horse to place to break even and 2 to make a worthwhile profit .is that about right?

You won’t like this Chris, but…..
Assuming you do top5 horses in 8 runners. If you don’t lay the win, but underlay place, you “could” make 1-2-3. Jackpot depending on odds and stake.

@chris so what were your back/lay odds in the end coz they seemed to all drift to me . surely you had to lose money on that race if you didnt have 2nd and 3rd?
