    It is a pity that this was not followed up on a daily basis, it would have saved some of us who do not sign up to any of the subscription services some time by having to look at which bookmakers their markets apply to manually. I know some of them are against the main companies such as Sky or William Hill that a lot of people will not be able to use anyway.

    It’s been a while since the last comment on this thread, but watching Matchbook’s enhanced specials (MBES) during the 2022 World Cup got me thinking.

    @mm65
    , I’ve been gubbed by both Sky and Paddy Power, but I find I can still take advantage of their odds boost offers, so MBES can be quite useful. An example from Tue 13 Dec was Paddy Power’s 6/4 (2.5) offering on Messi to score or assist against Croatia. Matchbook had this at lay odds of 2.24, so I underlaid at £10.20, Paddy Power paid out and I made a net £2.35 profit after 2% commission.

    Having said that, it would certainly help to know which bookie offer each MBES refers to (without having to go looking).

    The other thing I’ve noticed is that, quite often, Matchbook’s lay odds are still higher than the “boosted” back odds being offered by the bookies. I’m not sure there’s much they can do about that – presumably the odds are dictated by the market – but it does render the Enhanced Specials somewhat less than special on those occasions!
