Matched betting with mate’s ID
-
Hi, apologies if this has already been discussed. I’ve now been gubbed from a good few bookies. Made a fair amount and was discussing it with my mate in the pub, who suggested I used his ID, details etc. To do the same and split the profits. He’s entirely new to bookies, couple of questions.
If I registered with a bookies with his ID and proof of address, would they catch on if payment details were in my name as opposed to his?
What’s a fair split in this scenario? I’m doing all the work, he is simply providing me with his online likeness. I suggested 50/50 and he’s happy with that. Not sure if I’ve short changed myself!

New to matched betting?
My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

You need to deposit with a card or Paypal in the same name and address as the account with the bookie so you won’t be able to use your payment method. That’s why it can get a bit messy with family/mates as they probably don’t want you to have access to their bank accounts!
+0Yeah as Andy says has to be all signed up for in mates ID/bank-ppal. I found when doing this a few years ago (did it over 25 times with family and friends accounts) the best thing to do was ask your friend to join a new bank account and simply put €5-€10 quid in it. Then you deposit the required float and go about your buisness ( friend cant be to worried as they have no money to go missing!) Always did a 50/50 split myself at the end when all dosh was made and returned to bank👍 Yes you are doung all the ‘work’ but the account is just as important. Hopefully like me you make a sucsess of the 1st venture then word spreads and other friends start queing up for a taste👍
