Messed up my first offer

  • I was doing my first ever sign up offer at Coral. I am a meticulous careful person and might have been going a tad too slowly.

The welcome offer was bet £5 get £25 free bet. To qualify, I have to bet odds of 1.5 or greater. So i was doing that, but I was not actually logged in.

When I clicked the “Login and place bet button” the odds changed to 1.44, BELOW 1.5, and thus I did NOT Qualify for the free bet, but the bet was placed anyway. (which I layed as per protocol). I made an overall loss of 38p as expected, but now I do not have any free bets at Coral.

Furthermore, I do not have a large float (Max £50), so I am not prepared to sign up to many other Bookies, maybe 1-2 others to start with, and build up funds gradually.

Will matched betting be worth it for me in this case with only 2-3 bookies? As in will I have to wait forever for new offers?

And how do I proceed with Coral now? Do i have to wait until they email me another offer? How long would I have to wait? Or is it a dead end at Coral?

I would be grateful for your thoughts.

  • New to matched betting?

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

I wouldn’t worry about it and move on, if this is the only mistake you make in the next few months you’re nailing it 🙂

Do the Paddy Power offer, you only need to deposit £10, place a qualifying bet at odds of 1.5, and you’ll get 3x £10 free bets. It will take you a while to build up some cash with only £50 to start but if your not in a rush you’ll be flying in a month or so!

Just withdraw from the bookie, and when the money hits your bank account, just do another sign up offer at say Skybet. If you wait to be emailed offers from only 2 or 3 bookies it will take you ages to build up cash.

    Have fun!!!

Move on to another. However coral do the bet 25 a week get a 10fb so they ate good to keep.

I started with only 50 and 2 and bit months in I’m up to about 400. That’s mostly new offers and then a couple off here. I work full time so been difficult doing the Wimbledon ones.

    Good luck and enjoy

I would contact customer services and explain what happened and ask if they will honour the welcome offer with a 2nd bet of over 1.5, they can only say no but may well say yes in the circumstances.

How much do you intend to invest in MB. Because you need a few hundred in your exchange account when claiming the free bets. If you got your FB from Coral of £25 quid and backed at 9.5 and layed at 10.0 you would need £191.60 to cover your liability.

Some other mistakes, but now gone through a majority of the free offers out there. gonna take a while i guess but is there still hope, as got my head from my a$$ and starting this as i initially should have…
