New client offer – Betsafe

  • I have opened an account with Betsafe by depositing £30.00 and claiming the £30.00 welcome bonus.

I understand that I have to place 6 bets at minimum odds of 1.8 within 30 days before being able to withdraw any cash. However, I don’t quite understand how much I’m supposed to bet – is it, for example, the full amount (i.e. £60.00) divided however I wish or a minimum of £10.00 each time?

Sorry to be so thick and thanks for your help!

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

The times 6 doesn’t mean 6 bets, it is the wagering requirement which is £30+£30*6 so a total of £360.
If you placed a £60 bet and it lost the offer is over as you have “busted out”.
I recommend you read a guide on wagering requirements

Thanks for guiding me towards this article which clearly I should have read in the first place! However, I also emailed Betsafe who have come back with the following response, just to confuse me even more:

“Kindly note that if you have claimed Sportsbook Welcome Bonus then the bonus has to be wagered as per following before requesting a withdrawal:

    – You can bet however you want to in total 60 GBP (if you have deposited 30GBP and received 30GBP bonus) on minimum odds of 1,8
    – You do not have to bet 6 equal bets. You can place one bet or several bets however you want to but all in all the stakes have to be 60GBP and on minimum odds
    – As mentioned 60 GBP has to be wagered however you want to and you do not have to divide your deposited money because if you want to you can make just one bet in amount of 60 GBP as well in order to meet wagering requirements.”

They are implying I have to bet £60.00 in total, but have not clarified I have to do this six times.

    Any thoughts? Thanks

i think they are just talking about your balance as it stands. I wouldn’t read into that anything different to what A10 said, they are trying to lock you into betting with them so lets say they are being “economical with the truth”, you will have to bet through £360 unless you bust out.

(and yes, you can bet in whatever form you like, 1x£60, 3x£20, even 60x£1)

    Hello again

Thanks for the advice – not an offer I would have taken up, had I bothered to read the bookie’s T&Cs (lesson learnt).

Am I now better off trying to “lose” the £60.00 by matching my bets with close odds on the exchange? That seemed to be the advice in the Guide to Rollovers, etc. As this cannot be guaranteed, of course, I presume I will have to top up any shortfall in the £60.00 requirement or, alternatively, I could just leave my original £30.00 stake in there until the expiry of the bonus period, then find some other way of using it (highly tempting at this stage).

“Losing” in Betsafe is the best outcome as the offer is then over. You want to lose as little of the £30 bonus as possible, remember to use the qualfying bet calculator.
By trying to “lose” I take it you mean backing and laying at high odds but remember the back bet could win and you will then have a lot of money tied up in Betsafe.
You will need the funds in your exchange to cover all the wagering requirement should the worst case scenario happen i.e you win all your bets at Betsafe.
I don’t know what you mean by topping up any shortfall and don’t believe you have properly grasped what the offer entails.
You have paid in £30 and been given a £30 bonus, this has a wagering requirement of x6 meaning you will have to wager a total of £360 if you don’t lose all your funds in Betsafe first. You should never top up in Betsafe whilst doing this offer.
If you get down to zero in Betsafe the offer is over, if not you will have to continue placing bets up to the £360 before the funds in Betsafe are withdrawable.
