New to matched betting?
My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

If I could go back and do these again I would place more mug betting. A lot of ppl have been restricted on this one already.
For example you can back and lay Leicester for 6.0 for a qualifying loss of 33p on smarkets. Guaranteed 7 or 8 off your free bet – in play so sometimes hard to extract max value.
On a guaranteed profit of 7£ it might be worth having a little 5£ bet on one of the other prem games and still be in profit. Long term you will win/lose the mug bet but in average get back £4 to £4.50 per game. You are still making a guaranteed profit on every match and it’s not like the mug bets will cost you much in the long run. And if it helps keeping your account open then it’s worth it.
I think the bet 20 get 10 offers are very profitable and I’m gutted I can’t take paddy on on this one any more.
+0The question is whether mug betting does you any good though. Plenty of those gubbed say they did just that, and it hasn’t stopped them getting the axe
For anyone who can take these offers up, remember not to use Betfair for your lay bets now that them and Paddy are one and the same ;)
+0Can’t see any harm in using my girls bet fair to lay it off an ill use mine for laying hers off lol
+0I’d be very surprised if Betfair/Paddy don’t have matching software/algorithms to spot exactly that kind of thing tbh.
Google IBM’s MDM software to see what I mean ;)
+0A normal customer that bets a fiver on the premier league every week sees the promotion and he isn’t stupid he sees the value in the free bet. Ups his stakes to 20 to get the free bet. Promotion worked. Paddy are getting a bigger volume off this guy.
A bet365 customer that bets regularly on the premier league sees the offer and joins paddy and continues to bet on the premier league 20 on a couple of games per week. If he is getting a free bet will surely be enticed to bet on that particular match. Promo worked. New customer for paddy.
So how do they distinguish those type of customers from matched betters?
Is that why they are so stop and start with the promo? Run for May stop, start again in November , stop, start again in January. So they can see who is just betting when the promo is on?
If they are that strict then a bunch of normal customers must be getting gubbed too.
+0Tony is right.. How much mug betting is very much up for debate..
I’m one of the lucky ones who hasnt yet been banned from PP and I didn’t do much mug betting on that website.. Wheres the logic? If I go onto Vouchers and Free bets on my account, I have a history of over 10 pages of the free bets. If somebody from PP reviews this, it is clear that I’m taking advantage of the promos. It’s not like a bit of mug betting will help erase my history of free bets.
In my opinion, I believe that I should strike whilst the iron is hot and maximise as much profit as possible (an approach I take on all bookies and would recommend to others).
+0I still have pp. me being stupid I went into autopilot and laid with my betfair the other day with pp but nothing happened. Still got the offers, no gubbing. The next day then is when the official message for the merger popped up so maybe I just dodged a bullet.
Also, as I’ve said before, I always do a mug bet or two the same day as I do an offer like this and I never do every available offer in a series so in this case I’ll just do the Sunday match and leave out the other.
You are still in profit anyway, just not as much but it’ll work out better in the long run. Also it’s important to note i e held a paddy power account for over two years but only used it sparingly until I started match betting about 6 months ago.

Nicola Mac I’m in the same boat. Had a paddy power account 10 years but I had let it go very quiet until I started playing the promos. Got restricted on this offer just after Christmas.
