Partner accounts, same address
-
I’ve been matched betting for a couple of years now and my partner wants to have a go. The thing is, I don’t really want to risk any of my good accounts so I said that it might be best if she only does the accounts I’m already gubbed with (mainly Paddy/Lads/Coral). She’s got a different surname to me and different bank account but we live at the same address. I suggested she use only mobile data, to help keep separate from me. The above bookies gubbed me over a year ago and I haven’t touched them for at least 6 months.
Is it worth her bothering? I don’t want to waste her time and also mine (as she wants me to teach her) if her accounts are going to get gubbed/restricted very quickly. Is it better to just open the accounts and hope for the best, or to Live Chat and ask them first?

New to matched betting?
My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

I have read many posts on this subject and you get very different results from each person so you won’t get a definite answer. I can give you my experience so far though.
Opened 4 accounts in my wife’s name, so same address, different bank and email etc. Also, use VPN on her accounts.Coral – opened many months ago, still going
Ladbrokes – Restricted after about same amount of time as my account
SkyBet – closed her account with 24 hours due to duplicate address. Helpful on live chat at least and transferred all money back to the bank account.
PaddyPower – gave message account blocked straight after signing up. Didn’t bother to contact them.So that’s my experience, others will be different. Not lost any money from doing this, but there’s always a risk.
Oh, and all my accounts are still working fine.
+0I’ve had different experiences opening at same address.
Coral – went after a couple of bets
Ladbrokes – lasted a couple of months
Paddy – gubbed after a few weeks but still unrestricted stakes
Bet365 – gubbed and heavily restricted after a day+0Thanks for the replies. I’m not sure if it’s going to be worth it for her then, if they’re going to get closed quickly, I think she was hoping for a long term thing like I’ve managed to do. She might make a few quick quid out of it, I suppose.
+2I’ve got a few accounts going for same address and in general, more than one person can have an account at an address, but only one can do the offers. Where I am gubbed/restricted the ‘missus’ has opened a few accounts-
– Coral and Ladbrokes, so far the account has been getting free bets.
– Betfair, got a week or so worth of action before getting gubbed and Paddy Power followed very quickly. Both accounts are so far unrestricted so should get some arbs/ew arbing out of them for a bit longer yet (hopefully haha).
– Stan James closed the account very quickly.
Stick with bookies that are main stream, there’s nothing stopping more than one person having an account at the same address, just don’t make the same bets on the accounts- use one for arbing/ew arbing and the other for offers etc.
+1Thanks Johnbo. I wonder if Betfair and Paddy went quickly because you had both? Maybe it will be better with just Paddy? Though if others have reported quick closures maybe it will not be worth it.
We won’t be doing the same bets as I’ve said to her, for now at least, just to use bookies I’m gubbed with. I don’t bother with ew/arbing as I don’t have the patience for it.
