Profit in May

  • I started matched betting in April after having read about being able to make £500 a month.
Like everyone advised I have kept records of all my bets but in May I only made £116 from match betting excluding 3 or 4 sign-up offers.
I have already been restricted by 3 bookies and I am seriouly thinking about giving up as the time spent does not seem to justify the returns,
Is that what a lot of others have found and is that why there is so little activity in posts these days, and also why a lot of posters seem to have dissappeared.

I have made a couple of mistakes letting 2 £5 free bets expire but that is not really diastrous, costing me say £8.

What do others think. Is it really worth all the time and effort.

  • New to matched betting?

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

Don’t give up, it’s just a quiet period with it being the end of the football season and the bookies taking a hit after Cheltenham. Do the euros offers and horse racing MB specials and you’ll be fine. Think the reason for the lack of posts nowadays is because many of the seasoned posters have been gubbed, but if you haven’t been then keep at it

more than a quiet period…. you can see the change from Matt’s post last year to the last 6 weeks – last weeks loads of potential profit posts. Match betting is dying out, bookies have changed now MBS to the favourite etc. Compared to last years french open offers, offers this year down by at least 50 %. A few regular posters on here don’t bother anymore and i’m giving this up after the euro’s. and will just keep across the bet365 inplay offers for the champions league weeks

I dont like saying this but it looks very much that I was correct 8 months ago when I said match betting couldn’t continue like it was then.
The increase in sites like this saw a huge increase in match betting that even a blind man on a galloping horse could see couldnt last.
6 weeks ago people on here were saying just wait for the Euros but what offers there are are not great.

Would be nice for those who slagged me off,Ryan in particular,to offer an apolology.

You really should have been able to make more than £116 with a fresh set of accounts, even with a small bank. For instance you can easily take bet365/betfair for at least a grand or more just doing their horse racing offers on a Saturday.

There is plenty of money to be made, you just need to find ways yourself instead of waiting to be spoonfed the crap offers that are posted on this site

I for one was slagging you off Patrick, well apologies you were right but I think posting when matchdem posted was just unlucky!Walter Mitty winning 1000 on saturday on the horses from 2 bookies is this match betting or are you betting/trading think it’s the latter!

My profits from match betting have been dwindling lately as well. Partly from being gubbed partly from lack of interest. I tend to do it now just from my phone whilst bored. I am all for making money in my spare time but gone are the days where I would sit at the laptop for hours on end

John, I’ve avgd £800 per month since I started keeping records of my winnings in January, but I don’t see this lasting now that my main accounts have gone. Being gubbed by B365 a few weeks ago was a really tough one to take, as was losing Betfair last week. It’s been fun, and now I’ll do these euro offers and then probably cut right down, just doing the odd offer for a bit of holiday money. For a period of a few months this was a really nice forum, with the Tonys, Chris, RyanB, CashedUp, FogBlog, Shaun, Mike, Kjillman, Pickle and JDUBU as well as several others. They’ve all had their hand in helping me make some decent profit. Stick with it and you’ll make at least a few grand. Just a couple of bits of advice:
Don’t hit every B365 race. Stick with the Saturday races, and leave the weekday horses alone.
Always slightly underlay each free bet you place. If you have a £25 free bet, and can get odds of 15.0/15.5, lay it for £20, not for £22.60.
    Good luck!

No wonder you lot are having so much trouble making money if you can’t even read. Have a look again – I didn’t say on “one” Saturday did I? A grand should easily be possible in a month just doing the betfair+bet365 offers every Saturday yes.

Walter, my experience is that I was making £100 on an avg saturday from B365 & BFair. That was hitting every Channel 4 race. Sometimes I got lucky and hit a few B365 C4 winners on the bounce, and sometimes I’d go the whole saturday without hitting a winner on either account.

Most people find they get restricted aftet just 4 or 5 wins on tbe Betfair 3/1 offer.
So if you have still got your account you are dong well or maybe you are losing heavily elsewhere.
I for one dont believe you.

I couldn’t really care if you believe me or not Patrick. The fact is that provided you actually have accounts open still then there is plenty of money to be made. Most of the people on here seem to be moaning about lack of offers rather than being gubbed, which makes me question wtf they are up to?

No chance of averaging 1k a month on the 3/1 and 4/1 only on a Saturday.

Utter nonsense. 15 winners at 4/1+ out of 30ish races. Same again for 3/1+ Sp.

Wouldn’t be wasting your time with any offers with that strike rate.

He maybe has several accounts with each of those bookies. Doubt you can do that regularly from just 1 account on each site. Apart from anything else saying there is 30 races then id bet a good few were won by horses that were less than 3/1 so that would rule those races out on betfair and theres probably quite a few won that were never 4/1 on bet365 to qualify.

Patrick i dont think i ever said you were wrong i just didnt like the way you came across that people like me who only started doing this in october were ruining your gravy train. Then constantly reminding us everytime someone got gubbed from something.
