Question for Matt

There was a thread in the matched betting forum that was started and swiftly deleted. I won’t repeat who by or what was in it but could you tell us why it was deleted please? Thanks.

New to matched betting?
My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

Was it advertising for something?
+0No.
+0The original poster from another forum asked to remove it i think, so the guy that posted here asked the admin to remove the topic, i printed it lol
+0Did odds monkey staff decide to delete the thread over there? So they could keep it for themselves?!
+0Anyway the cats out of the bag now.
It’s not much more than ew arbing or technically an extra place offer. Sounds like good money, not a gold mine. After creating a calculator the return on investment is not much more than a good ew arb.
You need to hit 2nd place on horses at 16/1-ish on large handicap races.
+0i missed this…how can i find out about it?!
+0matchedem how do i pm you? I printed the post if you want to see
+0I thought the big dog knew all the tricks.
+0I’d like to know to, maybe there’s a forum or a Dropbox you could put it in?
+0FoG so its not much different than arb? i was impressed by the ammount of profit he said he made on the post, dont see much ppl saying that about arb lol, or there is?
+0Well Stefano I think he was going in £200 to £300 ew on big priced horses.
With big stakes like that on a good each way arb you would get similar return I think.
It’s just ppl wouldn’t stake that much on an ew arb because you would lose your account. Which is what it sounds liked happened to this guy anyway.
+0Rough average of 225ew on 20/1 shots. He had 11 winners. I’m guessing in around 150 bets. So to be placing them stakes for that length of time, he’s done well to last so long.
But it worked, even placing £25 ew. You would be probably looking at EV of £10 per bet.
+0Something doesn’t add up, if it was a run of the mill thing it wouldn’t of been deleted
+0Sounds like dodging dealings which is something the dog doesnt get involved in
+0I removed the thread following a request from the original poster. It’s not something I make a habit of doing but as it had been copied and pasted from another site, I thought it was best to do so.
I have no objection to any of you guys starting a new thread discussing the said strategy though.
