Restrictions on withdrawing

Just been told that I cannot withdraw my money from ComeOn because just not wagered my last deposit of £40….this was put in there to get a 50% bonus deposit which my invite email said wager 8 times. When I did not get the bonus i went on live chat and was told the wagering was different so I declined the offer and withdrew.Then got email to say withdrawal was declined.On chat again and told ALL deposits need to be wagered once before any withdrawal will be approved.Prime example of not reading t&c i know.But surely this is forcing someone gamble against their will.Any advice or useful comments would be appreciated….thanks.

i’ve experienced this a few times, with ComeOn and Bwin/Sportingbet you have to play through your deposits, i think it’s only fair when they regularly send out offers for deposit 50 get 50 free spins or so, ComeOn free spins don’t have any wagering usually.

With the deposit bonus and not being aware of the 8x wagering, you probably could cause a fuss, ask to speak to a supervisor, say you’re going to contact IBAS etc, and they’d likely let you withdraw it, but for the sake of a tiny qualifying loss i’d just lay it, they give good bonuses to active accounts imo.

I would say you have a case if they are forcing higher wagering requirements on you, compared to what was stated in the promo email. But worst case wager £40 on a sports bet you will only be down around £2 with a decent match. Not worth kicking up too much of a fuss IMO, unless it keeps happening.

Has anybody had any experiences of a bookie confiscating their funds and closing their account?

If so, which bookies did it and what was their official reasoning behind it?

10Bet after a withdrawal request. Reason “Multiple accounts”
Wife and I had an account each for 4 years since we went to Cheltenham and they had an opening offer of some kind. Account was used regularly depositing, withdrawing and playing with absolutely no problem.
It seems that they now have gone rogue and it has happened to a lot of people.
I’ve had accounts with A-Z bookies over the years and even TonyBet paid, never ever had a bookie steal funds like 10Bet.
Avoid.

I’ve never seen any issue with legit use of bookies. Some are def hardworking to get there though

Read a few multi account issues people experienced, and some other issues where people are vague but have obviously done something shady along the way.

As to original post Alvin’s advice is sound (although blackjack is usually lower ql than sports)…. but I did have a fat fingered moment with comeon and deposited 500 instead 50 for some free spins. Live chat understood and removed withdrawal restrictions
