New to matched betting?
My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

i had Thunder Snow and Lancaster bomber, guaranteed the former and underlaid the latter. think thats the first time i’ve ever had two come in! lovely!
i think betway have finally had enough of my shenanigans now though, could only get peanut on. coming to the end of the road now.+0Care to list where all your money has come from today matchedem, horse by horse, offer by offer?
I did minimal, think i dont have as much enthusiasm for it anymore probably because its been full time Mon to Fri lately and also its summer, weathe ris great etc.
+0Nice 2 Clear bonus (underlaid) on the fav in the marathon.
Almost as easy as High 5
+0It takes me too long to do (what ive done many times to then get zero feedback anyway) but ive got 55 lines on my s/s with bets placed
Loads was arbing the 420 TBH
+0Can anyone who’s seen plenty of big meetings in their time say if non-runners are less likely than e.g. a standard saturday racing? i remember noticing this a bit at Cheltenham (but on the other hand if its 30C that works against surely)
+0Definitely less likely matey. Think of it like this…trainers aim there horses at this big races/meetings for months. If they aren’t 100% right for a prep run, or the weather isn’t ideal, they won’t think anything of pulling out. However to pull out of the main aim has to be a serious issue I’d say
Think there was 1 non runner over the card today
+0in my opinion non runners at these big meetings less likely
+0Of course they are less likely. As above plus a grade one race they are going to be used to going in stalls.
On the place market I’m not sure if the odds are worse compared to win price in this type of flat race? The example was backed in considerably, I took tiny or no arbs on horses that I’d normally expect to arb on the place….. but you’re talking of a couple likely winners then a whole host capable of bursting in behind so maybe the place arbs aren’t as obvious as I first thought
That said it was a decent day of opportunities. Made a decent amount, with more time could made a very very good amount…. with more time and luck could smashed the hell out of it.
+0I was looking at the 4:20 yesterday, but the win odds on the 2/3 favourites were a country mile out on the exchange – did I just not look at the right times, or was it possible to take an enormous loss on the win and still profit on the place?
+0Absolutely bobster. You don’t want to be looking ideally at the top 2 favs, there may be an arb but not as big as the others.
For example I had Rivet at 34 (1/5) laying at 46 and 3.9. (let’s say £25ew laying using Smarkets for win and Betfair for place) That’s a £6.50 LOSS on the win, but a £24 PROFIT on the place. Hence boom if the 8 runners go off.
