School boy error. Can anyone help?

  • Hi
I was looking for abit of help and advice. I am new to Matched betting and in error have placed an incorrect bet. I thought the odds looked to good to be true and they were. I thought the odds were for England TO WIN. But they were infact for England to win and both teams to score as I have now realised. I jumped in all guns blazing. I was wondering if there is anyway of mitigating any loses here?

I bet £30.00 on England to win and both teams to score at 5.2 @ bookies. Enhanced odds. Returns around £150.

If I back England not to win at Exchange for £30 stake. Liability is £13.49
Then back both teams not to score @ 2.52. For £30 stake. Liability is £45.60 at exchange

If it is either 0-0 or England/Scotland win to nil then I am going to lose £45.60 at exch and 30 at bookies 🙁
    But win £30 at exch.

Hope this makes sense. Although I think I am missing something. The other option is just to sit and wait and hope my bet comes in 🙂

I won’t lie this one has baffled me. Been trying to figure it out for hours. Can anyone advise please?

    Thanks

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

looks like you can lay this off for a profit as lay is 4.5

look under England v Scotland game on betfair > Match odds and both teams to score and choose England/yes

which bookie? might have a nibble 🙂

    Thanks for the reply bud.

I think I am missing something here. Or my heads fried from looking at this screen all afternoon lol.

I can’t find that selection at 4.5? I can find the lay for England @ 1.45 and both teams to score @ 2.5. But can’t find them together? I think I am missing something

It was on Betstars mate. Spin and bet
