Shops – do's and don'ts when betting

Being continually restricted/gubbed, I’ll have to start betting at the shops over weekend. Never done it before. Anything to be aware of?.

Ask the person at the counter to write the odds on the slip, otherwise you will only be paid at SP.

Don’t be too paranoid I don’t think the staff would know much about what matched betting is or doubt they are actively looking for ppl. You’re just comparing odds for value really.
+0If the staff ever did call you up on it, which is unlikely you could just say that you’re checking the odds aren’t better in whatever bookmaker is just down the road because it saves walking.
I’ve still got enough accounts to not need the shops yet, but when I do I will just head outside for a fag after placing a bet, can lay it off then.+0Have just started putting bets on in shops due to same issue. Re-iterate about not being too paranoid about checking odds – staff don’t really seem to care if you’re checking your phone.
WH near me offer 4 means more on certain games in-store but bets placed via the betting terminals don’t count towards it (bitter experience!) and the markets that count online (BTTS, and BTTS and Match result) don’t count in store but everything else on their normal markets seem to according to the MOS I spoke to.
Only other one near me is a Lads. Can pick up a Grid card to use for certain offers in store. Gave a different address/tel. etc. to my gubbed account and have had a couple of fb’s from it so far.+0Any good shop offers worth doing at a weekend or does it vary from store to store?

How does “the grid” work? Double gubbed online. Can I still us the grid? Can I use different ones in different shops?
Suspect not. I guess that’s the point.
+0Need to sign up to it. They ask for email/mobile/address. I’m also gubbed online but just used a different details when signing up in store. No issues so far. I only have the one card.

Was it worth the effort Sleepless?
I’ve been doing my research and there are
2 x WH, 1 x Paddy, 1 x Laddies, 2 x Fred and 4 x Corals within 15 mins of me by car.My concern is that the odds in the shop will be different to the online price, or that by the time I spot an opportunity the odds will have changed by the time I get to the shop!

It was worthwhile as an experiment, backing & laying for small stkes atm. I was only trying racing. Depends how much you’ve been gubbed or restricted on-line really. Heard that about Fred too. Others phone thru. for small stakes I’ve heard.
Must be a few sharbers on here to relate their experiences, but they’ll be driving round like crazy next week.
