Sky have issued me with a promotions ban

  • Important Service Announcement

We write with reference to the account you hold with Sky Bet, User ID: 1KOJAB

After a recent review by our trading team, it has been decided that this account requires tighter liability management. Unfortunately this means the account will no longer be eligible for any of our free bet promotions (including Sky Bet Club and Money Back refunds).

In addition, from this point forward any bets placed will no longer apply for Best Odds Guaranteed and will be settled at the price option taken upon placement.

The decision has been made in full accordance with the Sky Bet’s Terms and Conditions which are available to view here

This decision is final and will not be overturned. However, if you require any further assistance with your account, please do not hesitate to contact us through our Help & Support site here

Has anyone else received one?? Or has been lucky enough to have it over turned?

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

I find that Sky have usually good enhancements. I assume that you are still eligible for those.

I like Skybet myself though, hope its not a trend. Their promotions are good, but there isn’t really many. Usually one horse race per week and sky bet club, and virtual Thursdays lately. So that’s going to hit you by what? About £20 per week?

These big bookmaker firms are drawing in a lot of customers with their promotions, do you think that they would be drawing in as many if awareness was raised about how quickly they restrict the promotions too.

More than £20 per week I’d say, nicely consistent too.

2 horse races each week iirc, with very generous terms (2nd/3rd, if the fav wins, if your horse loses). A couple acca boosts with decent potential to underlay. A scattering of £5-10 free bets, usually on the football league. The usual £5 bet club.

I seem to have won on their enhanced odds (10+) a lot when trying to extract the freebets. I’d be gutted to lose Sky.

This is a the first time I heard someone getting gubbed by sky. They are normally quite laid-back with things like these.
But then the same can be said about bet365, before one day they decided to ban everyone from their £50 risk-free In-play promo 🙁

Let’s hope this isn’t the start of yet another mass culling. I’d be more gutted to lose skybet than bet365!

    Hi all
    Thanks for the replies
I think I’ve just been very unlucky with the promotions. I’ve managed to take well over £1000 off them in a week. Obviously I’ve laid all this off. I put £50 on a horse at 17/1 but managed to lay it off at 12/1. Which was a bonus. But when the horse won and I received £850. then I hit a couple of enhanced correct results in football matches during the week. to top it off I put a £15 free bet on Everton to win 3-0 on Sunday and scooped another £180.
I’m gutted because sky have not took into consideration all of the bets I have lost in the past. The most I can now bet is £5 single bets. And accas £1.25 stakes

Sorry to hear that you’ve been restricted by Sky… As someone mentioned above, they are generally laid back. I think the most likely cause is putting £50 on a horse 17/1 which steamed in to 12/1 at SP – that would give them at least some concern / flag your account.

As a side note, I hope that your other bookie accounts don’t have the same username as the one you’ve posted here (just in case they happen to monitor these forums).
