    Damn Black Dave won.

What an absolute pile of shit.

Lost a fiver there. My own fault. Backed the NR this morning so went with the favourite instead only to watch the exchange odds collapse. Backed at 3.25 laid at 4.3!!

    So frustrating.
And the horse was a complete donkey

Well done to those who got the right horses

    Pretty good tip still, close.

    Keep winning at Hills :(

    Congrats to those with Brasted.

Often better to wait closer to the off to avoid a NR
    Odds always tighter too

Think of all those normal punters who backed the Fav- mugs!

True Dan, but not always practical for those of us trying to back, calculate and lay in those 60 seconds before the off…..all via a pesky iPhone with ropey 3G connection, haha!!

Still don’t get why anyone would back and wait to lay (Ice Magic) – you run the risk of precisely what has happened here. Perhaps it sometime works to your advantage though?

I guess SOME level of knowledge about racing, markets and the weight of money would be useful to make this a viable strategy. Nowt worse than backing and laying (as per MB rule #1) and then seeing the lay price literally tumble to what would have been a decent arb :(

Now, to do it all again on the 15:10… :D

Nice to come back from lunch to see Brasted did the job! Helps to make an otherwise shocking January a little less shocking!

Will get on the 15:10 as well at Hills.

Didnt fancy the favourite at all in the this race hence why I didnt go for it in either of my two selections.

At least I have money in my Hills account now for the 3.10

What you liking for the 15:10 then @Chris?

And that is the last one of these offers I ever do. fucking sick of wasting nearly three quid on a back and lay on a horse only to see it coming nowhere. On top of that, the effort of looking for close matches is too much. These offers while offering value in the long term are essentially gambling and I don’t do enough of them to hit long term profit. For people who do them enough I see the value but I’ve done about 5 in 5 months and hit one refund (wasn’t even the max 25 refund). To be honest the whole matched betting thing is starting to be a lot more effort than its worth. I had more enjoyment when I gambled.
