John Smith – you’re not far off the mark atall and it’s a good shout going with the favourite here. Odds may easily contract on betfair nearer the race time but I will wait till after 12 say to back and lay anyway.

As an aside from a racing point of view there’s no way the favourite should be as short priced as it is. Certainly not a 6-4 shot in my eyes on a dodgy surface such as Southwell has – so not at all a strong fancy to win the race.

Sky really do reduce their odds markedly on these “offer” races – almost every horse is at least a click lower then on Hills.

Expect Fujin’s lay price to reduce nearer the off, will hopefully go for that on Hills. Would like to take Sartori on Sky, but unless those odds get a whole lot tighter then it might have to be the favourite :(

Actually, Sartori is 9.5/9.8 just now on Hills/Smarkets

Trouble is that I think it will come 3rd (or worse), not 2nd

By way of example of my above point, Sky have Sartori at 8.0 in comparison, haha!

Anyone looking at Ventura Falcon in the 18:25 in Kempton for Paddy Power 2nd to SP. He is 3.5 on paddy and flirting with 3.9 on smarkets. If it tightens up before the race will be about £2 or £3 qualifying loss. He is 5/4 betting without favourite so must be at least 20% chance of 2nd to SP.

Certainly think it’s best to back early on these skybet promos. Put your lay order in for a small reasonable qualifying loss and then hope it gets matched.

Well that was a disaster. Can’t see how one horse can be so short against all the others.
don’t think the odds for any of the others got better than they were last night.

Got a £5 qualifying loss now + £2 for the fav on Hills. Better get a free bet out of this!

Got elusivity at 9.5/9.8 about 2hrs ago, drifted to 15.0 on sky now – best odds guarantee could mean a nice payday if it wins (long shot I know!)
