Great to see you guys getting good returns from this, struggling to find the horses to be honest. Any tips on what to look for (No. of runners? Strong favs?) and how close to the off?

Are you sure Skybet made it not to place in the top 2? I have a screenshot which says 3 places with only 7 horses in the race. 2 would be much nicer of course!!!

Harris, i don’t think that’s right. If you backed not to place top 3, then the market will still stay as 3 places even with non runners, not the same as each way bets.

”The number of places offered will not alter in the event of non-runners unless the number of runners is equal to or less than the number of places offered. In this event, all bets will be void. Standard Dead-Heat rules apply.”

Did the relevant section in the Skybet change to “Not To Place – 2 Places” from “Not To Place – 3 Places” for you? Mine stayed at the latter and you’d have thought they would have to change this if it was only 2.

I was on the same race as harris and my bet stayed as “not to place three places”. I do remember checking again before the race went off and it said “not to place two places” so he has it right in principle. Whether Sky would have still paid out if the horse came third is another question.

I underlayed and went for the big win but the horse was really disappointing. Smarkets were still paying and laying on the top three so if it had come third and Sky did pay out, I would have won £700 🙁

matchedem – the markets arent up yet but the first two races may be good, the 12.30 and 12.45

Chris I assume they have a cut in the price if they reduce to 2 places then? As smarkets would the other way based on a non runner? If not I guess even better! And thanx for the tips ill take a look at those over lunch
