New to matched betting?
My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

Nothing went to plan tonight.
No treble. No draw at FT betstars. No draw at HT for betfair. Barcelona didn’t fail to win for betbright….
Aw well.
+0Mine too Pickle, just had high hopes for this one. Burnley top of the league at home etc.
Yeah nothing doing tonight, I notice the 188 offer came in again but their odds are such trash, I never accept the £5 qualifying loss.
+0Dont think Ive ever won one of these sky trebles. Always one team lets you down
+0Free fiver gone on this, bloody Burnley :(
But a Suarez goal gives a nice £20, and took Paddy’s enhanced treble for £60. A very good night.
+0Hence I underlay these, no harm done.
+0Yeh I underlay them too. But it would be nice to actually win one now and again,
+0Agree with Chris, The 188 odds on these offers are a joke.

Guess with the 188 you have to weigh up the loss as always. Got on the DeGea cleant sheet the other day for a loss of £3.50 but odds of Utd clean sheet less than 2/1 definitely profitable. Could always look to underlay if possible also.
+0Still see these as value bets rather than underlay. Tonight was a free bet so technically risk free and losing £10 on ones that look good isnt a big chunk out of the profits we are raking in. Look at the scenarios:
£5 free bet tonight would have returned £25 profit. Underlaying a £25 bet was something like a £9 profit including a 5% payment to Betfair.
Saturdays treble would have been a £70 profit on a £10 bet, only let down by a West Ham red card. A £25 underlay bet would have returned £8 profit including a 5% payment to Betfair.
So yeah I’m £10 down but i’ve easily recouped that since Saturday and for three teams winning on a £25 outlay, you really should be looking at better returns than a measly £8-9.
Hence why I never underlay, these are value bets and it only takes one to come in to make it completely worth the £10 (or more) punt.
+0Pretty sure its similar in the long run….say you win 1 in 5….you are £40 down and then win recouping losses. Underlay everyone = £0 down and then profit slightly…all in all personal preference and I doubt theres much in it.
+0Looking back at my Sky Bet history, I’ve done 6 of these enhanced trebles including the one tonight and punted £10 on four of them, one of them came in back in February returning a £90 profit.
£90 – £40 still has me £50 up which represents long term value.
+0Lol @ 6 bets being long term.
Normally there wouldn’t be much in it, but with the Sky offers, the lay odds on the exchange are skewed and therefore bad value. It’s definitely optimal to not lay them (and even back them on the exchange as well) in the long run.
+0Could I run something past you lot? Well I’m going to anyway as a relative newbie to all things Acca & underlaying.
I laid £21.05 at 5.5 to return £5.27 if it had won with Sky Bet, break even if it had lost.
The bet still hasn’t settled in Betfair, I queried with Live Chat who informed me it was a losing bet, indeed to have won all three teams needed to have drawn or lost as it was an accumulator and there is no profit. It is still (over an hour after the games have finished, waiting to go to the traders) showing as “Open” and chat said the loss would be the liability of £94.73. A bit mystified by this as I have done 3-4 of SkyBet’s accumulators & always under-laid them (as I’m a matched better and not a punter I suppose…).
So the question is – is it me or chat who’ve got their wires crossed?
+0Chat is chatting bollocks as always. Not all teams won therefore your lay bet won, sometimes the acca bets take a while to settle.
