+0Lost £25 on the 3pm ascot. Horse came second at least !
Couldn’t match the 1:50pm either but horse won that at least.
Couldn’t lay Liverpool at 4-3 up either to lock a win. Gutted at 4-4 in 92nd min. Amazed when Liverpool scored again !

about third time it’s crashed in 2 months, bet fair is much better,yes you may save on the % but i’d rather have a reliable exchange with good liquidity and more markets

Third time in 2 months? I’ve been logging how many times smarkets has gone down and its been the last 6 consecutive saturdays. Usually its price updates not working, bets not being placed or liquidity completely disappearing. Today was a complete meltdown right before the 1.50pm Ascot race. Had to quickly log in to betfair and place my lay bet during the race. I got lucky and didnt lose anything but needless to say, no more crappy smarkets for me, shifted all my money to betfair earlier.
Rubbish website that obviously cannot handle saturday traffic.

+0Worst day matched betting purely due to Smarkets unreliability. Tried to lay a horse and it didn’t work, odds dropped and I tried again, still it froze. I checked my account and sure enough the bets hadn’t been placed. The odds had dropped even further to the point I had an arb. Excellent I thought ill try one more time. Nothing. No bets showing in my history so I left it and went to betfair which I used for the rest of the day.
Before the man city match I decided to see if it was back up and it was, tried to lay another bet and noticed 3 lays had actually gone on, in addition to my lay on betfair. All in all I’m over £150 down due to this. Could have been worse I suppose it was an odds on horse, I dread to think what had happened if it was a 5 or 6 price!
Customer service will no doubt be inundated with complaints, I don’t know wether to bother complaining or not, surely they have it written into their terms that they’re not responsible for technical malfunctions.

I didnt really have an issue! Put most my horse race bets on early, I did notice it crash and not let me on but at that point I didnt need to lay a bet, besides I always have betfair open alongside anywho!

I had a semi crisis in that I was on my phone when it went down so I had to get on betfair put £250 in and all would be OK. In rushing I only put £25 in then betfair wouldn’t let me make another deposit right away. Managed to get my second deposit in just on the off. A bit more stressful than I’d have liked messing about on my phone from work. From now on I think I’ll try get my lays on early or not bother at all.
