  • Yup its here again guys its all going on this week

  • New to matched betting?

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

Costa, Aguero and Kane all did the business for me! Gonna lay off Giroud tomorrow and should net about £25 if I get a good price.

Well annoyed! I had Costa Kane and Aguero so was excited to think I would make £90 if Giroud scores tomorrow. However when I logged into Stan James to confirm, my bet had lost! Turns out I picked Lukaku instead of Costa. So annoying as I picked both originally but the bet wasnt accepted and I had to to replace one. I thought Id kept Costa but obviously didnt 🙁

    Gutted.

Picked Kane, Aguero, Costa and Mitrovic. One let me down for £80! Guess thats betting rather than MB for ya though!

If a player in your acca takes no part in the game then he is struck off the acca and it becomes a treble instead. If 2 players don’t feature it would become a double, etc…

I known this for a fact as it’s happened to me before. You WILL still get the free £5 bet regardless. Some would say there’s probably a decent strategy in picking players you know won’t play!

Oh, and @Matt, so much for Defoe!?! Haha

Went for Aguero, Kane(@3.5!) Giroud and Ighalo…to lay or not to lay!!?? Return is £170 so I have a lot of room- I will def lay Ighalo but last time I laid Giroud and regretted instantly as he scored in 7 mins ?

    Opinions?

I realise it’s too late now, but yea, you could have sequentially laid Vardy and then (if Vardy HAD scored) Giroud tomorrow

This could have been done to either lock in some profit or to at least ensure no loss (i.e. Fully underlayed)

As it is, with this being almost a free punt at £77 I wouldn’t have bothered laying anything until the first three had all scored. That is when you could have guaranteed, say around £35 regardless of whether Giroud scored (depending on the odds obv)

I got aguero, kane and costa today like a few others – need giroud tomorrow.

Can I lay Giroud for guaranteed profit and how much could i expect to get.

This was the 5 quid acca.

@Kitch Personally I’d let Giroud ride (not like that!!) and only if he scores then consider laying Ighalo

Apparently Sanchez might get a recall tomorrow – is he their normal penalty taker? I only ask as Giroud has taken them in the past as well, but not sure if that was in a deputising capacity?

    You sure can…

How much does your £5 acca at Stan James return you?

the acca returns £77.40 if giroud scores – i see that maybe i can’t lay him because i use smarkets and there is no goalscorer market?

You need to wait until closer to KO and use Betfair to lay Giroud. Not enough liquidity yet. Depending on lay odds at the time you should be able to guarantee around £20-£25.

So your acca odds were 14.48 – stick that into the calculator along with your £5 stake and whatever odds you can get on Giroud tomorrow on Betfair and you will see what the straight up matched bet offers in terms of profit.

If Giroud is 2.7, for arguments sake, it would mean laying £27.32 for a profit of £20.95 either way.

Of course you could underlay it fully or even a touch depending on how much risk you want to take 😉

    Hope that helps

cool – cheers for the advice guys. I’m stuck in smarkets though trying to build a bankroll lol – so COME ON GIROUD!!!

arteta normally takes pens but i think giroud would hit one in front of sanchez (arteta will be starting from bench probably and sanchez might not play).

For what it’s worth I would let it ride, but you could always open a Betfair account (they offer a sign up bonus too!) if you do want to lay it off.

Good luck if you do let it ride 🙂
