Starting matched betting journey

  • will a bank of 120 be enough to start my matched betting journey.

  • New to matched betting?

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

Yes definitely @drey, I always say you can start with as little £50.

A smaller bankroll doesn’t limit the amount you can earn, it just means it may take you a little longer to reach your goals.

I’ve actually put together an article about starting bankrolls which you may find useful…

one more thing. I read somewhere that betfair charges no commission for new accounts.
But i used 5% on the calculator for my initial bet. Any issues?

Did everything go okay with your qualifying bet @drey?

Yes, if you signed up for their 0% commission welcome offer, any commission you pay in your first 30 days will be refunded. Refunds are credited each Wednesday based upon your activity during the 7 days prior.

So, because commission is charged initially at 5%, I think it’s best to stick with 5% on the calculator whilst you’re getting the hang of things. You can then just enjoy the cash refunds each Wednesday.
