Starting out strategy

  • First of all, I’d like to say Hi to everyone, this site seems to be a great resource for everyone looking to make a bit on the side and I hope to do the same.

I’ve read all the guides and strategy posts but for me I feel apprehensive at the start. One of those, get the ball rolling moments I guess. Is there any advice or strategies you guys would have if you were just starting out?

I think my biggest concern or quandary is how much would/did you start as your float? And is there a way to maximise your profit without having to start off with ~500 in the bank already.

My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

In my opinion since i’ve been doing this. You do need a health smarkets or betfair account.

Simply by placing 3 or 4 QF bets and 2 or 3 SNR free bets. Can quickly eat in to your balance. Whilst your waiting for the results to come in.

At weekends before i place any 3pm football bets. I try to make as much as i can on the horses. Because the race are like between every 5 to 10 minutes. I don’t see the point of placing football bets at 1pm knowing i won’t get paid out till 5pm. I always have about £500 in my exchanges. But i am sure some on here probably have a lot more.
