Guess we’ve gotta find a game where we expecting first half goals and hope the player we back doesn’t score them?

There is a lot of action on Costa on betfair. The sort that you usually see when something has been boosted somewhere and there is a clamour to lay it off to guarantee value.

But ppl are trying to lay it at 5.0, which doesn’t make much sense because the boost is on sunbet and is 5.0. Why would you back at 5.0 and lay at 5.0? Are ppl gambling that he doesn’t start or play and so the bookie will void the bet but they still win on betfair? Is there a chance he won’t play?

I believe the T&Cs for this offer exclude sun boosts, so bet needs to be placed at standard odds. I.e 4 on Costa

    Correct jd

Sunbets odds are laughable, nothing even worth considering going with.

Tony only laughable thing now is your comment.

Got 8 on Vardy and laid at 9.8, £2.21 loss for a potential £8 makes almost 3/1 to me on there being a goal in the first half and it not being Vardy that got the 1st! Probably an even money bet FACT

Or for these offers we could underlay FGS and back HT 0-0
    eg: I layed Benteke for £7.80 @ 5.0/5.4 and backed HT0-0 for £2.5 @ 3.1
Around £2.50 guaranteed no matter what happens ;)

lol @matchedem (aka Mr Aftertimer) You seem to take offence at everything I post. Not sure what your problem is? In the past you have repeatedly tried (and failed!) to belittle me and show me up and ended up being schooled yourself. Good luck to you mate, but a £2.21 QL for a possible £8 ain’t doing it for me bud.

    @conner
That’s a more intelligent and worthwhile post and at least turns a profit for your efforts. Nice one

Twente, Fiorentina, Alaves is a decent boost on sun bet this morning if you have a free bet from this and fancy a punt.

It is 9/1 (10.0) and the matches are laying at 2.00 * 1.74 * 2.78 = 9.67. So in theory good value. Probably can’t lay it because matches play together, unless betfair have something. Like I said though, value in the punt.

Would you mind exposing your workings for the guaranteed profit method Conner? I tried to do the same on Charlie Austin (4.2/5.0) and HTC 0-0 at a bookie at 2.88. Tried a few different variations but couldn’t get it right. How do you calculate both the extent of the underlay and the amount to back to balance it all out?

I’m not 100% sure how to arrive at the numbers by hand (so I won’t try explain) but they seem to work. The trick is really getting close odds on this.
For your selections (with odds a little worse off than I had yesterday) you can guarantee £1.40 by underlaying for £6.95 @ 4.2/5 and backing £2.69 @ 2.88 (75%FB extr)
Alternatively you can lock-in a risk free £7.30 profit on Austin FGS (break even if anything else) by underlaying for £5.50

Ighalo on the bench. Are the bets still valid?
